Travel with a guide into the Nation's Capital and learn some of the secrets about the town. We will depart with a breakfast stop around 9am. We start with visiting some popular sites at Arlington Cemetery, then make our way to many of the memorials. Lincoln, Vietnam, Korea, World War II, FDR, Dr. King are highlights. A driving tour of the city is next with picture stops of the White House and Capitol. The afternoon is free time for lunch or whatever you would like (typically around two hours). After meeting we begin to depart with a possible bonus stop before leaving the town, we arrive back Williamsburg between 8-10pm.

Home of US President's, we will make a picture stop here
Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln memorial is where we will see America's 16th President seated in a chair inside of the Roman Style Temple. The Vietnam War memorial is close by which honors some of the service members of this War. We also will see the wall. The Korean War memorial is close by which honors many of those service members of this War. We will see the wall as well as the 19 statutes of the soldiers.

1.00I received an email at 2:00 the day before the tour was scheduled saying it was cancelled. Yes, I’m getting a refund but I’m unable to get a refund for an extra night hotel stay. Totally messed up vacation schedule and what a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

5.00The tour was all day! We loved it. Visited almost every monument and had time to fit in the Holocost Museum along with the changing of the guard at Arlington cemetery. A full day and lots of walking. John was a super informative tour guide and made us laugh quite a bit. Highly recommend.

4.00It's a long fun day. Be ready to walk alot. Lots of things to see and the Arlington Cemetery visit and changing of the guards was the best.

4.00You need to be prepared for lots of walking and when visiting the Smithsonian pack a picnic lunch. Save energy for the end of the day.

5.00This is a rather intense walking experience. Be ready to cover 15-20,000 steps. With that said it is well worth it and truely the best way to cover D.C. in one day.

5.00Be prepared DC is ever changing somethings .you may not be able to do because a King or President may be there and you can't go there but belive me there is so much to see and our tour guide went over and above to take us where he could. We saw so much packed into one day. There is alot of walking and step climbing..

5.00On a whim, I purchased tickets for our family with children, to tour DC for the day. We have no regrets! Matt was amazing from start to finish, learning our children’s names the moment they got on the bus, engaging with them through the day, putting a movie on that was family-friendly on the way back, and even returning a forgotten souvenir to us (when I say he went the extra mile, I mean it literally and figuratively!). Additionally, he was full of knowledge and everyone learned so much. If you want to see a little bit of a lot, without the stress of navigating a busy city, this is the tour for you. We left DC having walked through Arlington, checked out many monuments and memorials, and getting some time to go into one of the Smithsonian museums on our own. We saw still more at a distance and heard engaging stories and history all throughout the day. It truly was a great experience for all of us, and I highly recommend it! Note: I would not recommend this for children under 7, as this is a very long day (15+ hours from start to finish). For the enjoyment of everyone involved, I’d stick with older children, especially those with a love of history.
