Our Kualoa Grown Tour allows guests to see the beauty and tranquility of one of Oahu’s most well-preserved ancient Hawaiian fishponds (Moli’i), which is carbon-dated at between 800 and 1,000 years old. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior, you’ll get to learn about early Hawaiian aquaculture practices and how fish was farmed in this 153-acre actively farmed fishpond, still standing with much of the original stonewall infrastructure in place.
Guests will travel on a Trolley to explore the tropical fruit and flower gardens of Moli’i. Admire the accomplishments of the early Hawaiians as the rich stories of the voyaging canoe and ancient fishpond unfold.

Fun and interesting tour for all ages

5.00We are in our late 70s and had never been to Kualoa Ranch. As a birthday gift to a friend we booked the Farm tour for 3 people. It’s a trolley ride (modified bus) so it’s great for any age. We just loved our guide/driver Ann Marie. She was not only a good driver but she really cares about the ranch and made the tour fun and interesting. I have new respect for the owners of the ranch. We live on-island so we didn’t use the shuttle

3.00The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Only problem I have is when I got the tickets, a canoe ride was included. We didn’t receive that.
We Came for the Ranch… and Never Saw It

2.00While considering purchasing an Oahu Go City Pass, we noticed that several Kualoa Ranch activities were eligible for redemption. Because Kualoa Ranch has been on our Oahu bucket list for multiple visits, we decided to purchase the pass specifically so we could experience the Garden Tour. We booked the tour expecting to explore the iconic ranch grounds, gardens, and landscapes that make Kualoa so well known. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by the website description. Kualoa’s website describes the Garden Tour as: “Our Kualoa Grown Tour takes you on a journey through Hakipuʻu makai, where the past and present meet across working farms, cultural landscapes, and iconic film locations. Guests will explore lush tropical fruit and flower gardens, learn about modern sustainable practices at Kualoa, and see how the land continues to nourish our local community…” Based on this, we reasonably believed that the majority of the tour would take place on Kualoa Ranch’s main property, with one offsite stop at Mōli‘i Fishpond. Instead, not a single portion of the tour occurred on the actual ranch property. The entire experience took place at satellite garden locations, and we saw none of the iconic landscapes, film sites, or signature views we had anticipated. This mismatch between marketing and reality is what made the experience so disappointing. We specifically chose this tour — and purchased the Go City Pass — because of how the experience was represented. Had the website clearly stated that the tour is entirely offsite and does not include the main ranch grounds, we would have booked a different tour or likely skipped the Go City Pass altogether. After the tour, I politely shared this feedback at the counter, explaining that we were genuinely sad and felt misled. While the staff member was respectful in her words, her demeanor was noticeably dismissive, and there was no acknowledgment of our disappointment. We were simply told that we’d have to purchase another tour if we wanted to see the ranch — essentially, that we were out of luck. A little empathy or acknowledgment would have gone a long way, especially for travelers who had carefully planned and budgeted for this experience. To be clear, the tour itself was pleasant for what it was: three stops, three small food samples, a comfortable and scenic trolley ride, and a guide who was kind and knowledgeable. Had we known upfront that the entire experience would be offsite, we likely would have enjoyed it more. Ultimately, the disappointment came from unmet expectations driven by unclear marketing, compounded by unempathetic customer service. Kualoa Ranch is such a highly regarded destination that we expected better clarity and guest care.

5.00Ray Ray was our tour guide and she was fun! We got to sample a couple of things on this tour which was unexpected but fantastic. The pineapple is so much better here! This tour was so much better than I ever expected!

5.00Fun experience! My daughter loved feeding the horses, cows and pigs. Train ride was great too. We enjoyed the beauty of the plantation.

4.00I did the Best of Kualoa tour, the highlights were definitely the Kualoa Grown and the Jungle tours. Davina on the Kualoa Grown tour was knowledgeable. I appreciated how she could speak to her personal experience cultivating and preparing native Hawaiian fruits and vegetables. The Jungle tour was really fun, the guide’s name started with Hoo…Hooua? Sorry I can’t remember! He made the tour really fun and brought a good energy. If I was to do it again I’d skip the movie tour, it was a bit boring compared to the other two.
Horrible, couldn’t understand a thing

1.00We did this tour 2/10, 2 o’clock tour, the tour guide was trying but couldn’t understand anything he was saying, it was a complete waste of time and money. I love other activities here but this one was horrible. Had to drive from Waikiki for an hour. Expected ranch to hire qualified tour guide and this was disappointing.

5.00On this tour, you learn about all of the agricultural aspects of Kualoa ranch. Our guide, Elsie, was very knowledgeable and had many fun facts to share. We were able to taste test several things they actually grew on the ranch!

5.00This was a very enjoyable tour. The gardens and scenery were beautiful. Our tour guide, Ray Ray, was very knowledgeable, lively and an absolute delight. She made the tour a special event. Her interactions with the guests was outstanding. She made us feel as if we were longtime friends. There were also several children on the tour and they all appeared to enjoy themselves. Ray Ray was very good with the children and went out of her way to talk to the children and keep them involved. While the tour was enjoyable and fun, we also learned quite a bit about Hawaiian plant life and the farming that is done at Kualoa Ranch. Overall this was a nice way to spend part of an afternoon
