Imagine walking in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire from the hit series Outlander on this small-group tour, with a local guide regaling all the gruesome history and stories that made this an epic hit. We take you on a journey to some of the most famous scenes from the hit series such as Midhope Castle the real-life Lallybroch, and Doune Castle, the seat of Clan MacKenzie. Your guide will give you an insight into the history and stories of each location, making this the perfect trip for those looking for a quick Outlander fix.

A maximum of 10 people per booking
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. There are no maximum age restrictions.
It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
There are days when Doune Castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. We will then visit Linlithgow Palace in its place. Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and a filming location for Outlander, requires a local entry fee.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

We make our first stop at Midhope Castle, aka Lallybroch - home to Jamie Fraser.
Doune Castle
We then visit Doune Castle, one of Scotland’s best preserved medieval castles and used as the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. You’ll have time to explore this historic stronghold.

5.00Lord Farquad...also known as Tovar was the best! From the history to the personal stories, from beginning to end it was enjoyable. Its a long tour and well worth the money! If you are an Outlander fan you will not be disappointed!

5.00It was amazing to see all the filming sites and the actual castles used in Outlander. We wished we had a bit more time in Culross but the tour let us see so much. The coach was comfortable and our host, Torva, was a wealth of knowledge and great stories. We thoroughly enjoyed his commentary.

5.00I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Haggis Adventures Outlander Filming Locations Tour! As an Outlander fan, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Scotland. I have been on tours before where the guide was essentially just a driver getting you from one stop to the next, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! Our guides, Allie (who was in training) and her fellow guide, made the day exceptional. The lead guide was a fabulous storyteller, and she shared so much about events and the history behind the filming locations, Scottish folklore, and fascinating local stories that brought each destination to life. Allie did a wonderful job as well, and together they created a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The scenery was stunning, the itinerary was well planned, and there was a perfect balance of information, humor, and time to explore and take photos. It never felt rushed, and the passion the guides had for Scotland and its history really shone through. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland. Whether you're a devoted Outlander fan or simply interested in Scottish history and beautiful landscapes, you'll have a memorable experience. This was so much more than a bus ride—it was a day of storytelling, history, and adventure, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!
