Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan, built in 1156 AD by the Rajput Rawal (ruler) Jaisal from whom it derives its name, and stood at the crossroads of important trade routes (including the ancient Silk road)The fort has palace,jain temples,city view.its a living fort which has 4000 inhabitants .lots of houses ,hotels,restaurants.
Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli
Nathmal ki Haveli, Jaisalmer is a late 19th century architecture that was once used to be the Prime Minister's house. It is famous for its extraordinary architecture and is considered to be the best in Jaisalmer. Apparently, there is an interesting story behind it. The grandeur structure is hard work of two brothers, Hathi and Lullu, who were jewellers and not architect. They both started with different facets of the building simultaneously. As a result, the left and right wing of the building is same but not identical. The scriptures made on the Haveli were never seen by the architect brothers in real life and were engraved by descriptions from the people who had seen it.

5.00Harish is a very knowledgeable about Jaisalmer having been born and raised in Jaisalmer. He took us to all the city highlights and bazaars. He is very informative about the history behind all the heritage and historical sights. He is polite and courteous.Would recommend Harish. We had an amazing day.

5.00Harishji took us along for a 5 hour tour of the Jaisalmer Fort & surrounding attractions such as Nathmal & Patwon ki Haveli. With his amazing story telling ability & sense of humour, we had an enriching download of Jaisalmer’s history, got an amazing tour of the fort including a panaromic view from a cafe, details of the beautiful jain temple in fort premises, a taste of the famed Kachori & Ghotwa and also the story of Satyajit Ray shooting his famous “Sonar Kella” ! He also arranged our desert tour which was memorable … We booked his services through Viator & I recommend him for anyone who wishes to understand the history of this beautiful city & see its many attractions…

5.00Harish is a fantastic guide. He took us through an excellent walk inside the Jaisalmer Fort pointing out noteworthy sites and providing the right amount of information to make the walk interesting. Harish also knows the best places inside the fort where you can take a short break, use a restroom or sip on a drink while you refresh yourself. He took us to the intricately carved Jain temples, the wonderful havelis as well as Bada Bagh to see the cenotaphs amazingly lit up in the rays of the setting sun. Harish is fluent in English, articulate and knowledgeable and we had a wonderful day exploring Jaisalmer with him. An added benefit with Harish, is that he is an excellent photographer and he took some great snaps capturing the memories from this trip which we would always cherish.

5.00Looking for a guide for your holiday in Jaisalmer? You don’t need to look elsewhere just go with “Jaisalmer Tour Guide - Harish” We had amazing time in Jaisalmer and highly recommend Harish. 1. He will go above and beyond to help you out even for things other than this tour 2. He is friendly and provides all historic information about the city 3. If you keen to explore local sweets/snacks , he will also take you to popular shops where locals eat. 4. We needed taxi for our last day transfer to Jodhpur and he arranged that too for us at a good price. 5. We booked the Sam Desert tour with him as well , which was great too We will use his services again whenever we visit Jaisalmer again.
