The tour will start off by taking a serene and scenic drive through beautiful Spearfish Canyon. While in Spearfish Canyon, you will have an opportunity to view Bridal Veil and Roughlock Falls. Next, you will visit historic Deadwood and learn of the incredible history that inspired the hit television show Deadwood. While in Deadwood, you will have a chance to explore Mt. Moriah Cemetery and Adams Museum. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant of your choosing.

Amazing Northern Hills Tour!

5.00My wife and I spent the day with our personal guide Jamie, and visited Sturgis and the DC Booth Fish Hatchery in Spearfish in the morning. We then took the Spearfish Canyon Hwy and saw Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish Canyon Lodge, and Spearfish Falls. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in a grove of old-growth Black Hills Spruce on Spearfish Creek. After lunch we visited the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center in Lead, then onto Deadwood and the Adams Museum & Downtown Deadwood. Finally up Mt Roosevelt and then back to our hotel in Rapid City. Throughout the day Jamie was incredible - super engaging and knowledgeable. We could not have asked for a better guide to create a memorable day for us. Definitely a great value for a private tour in our estimation. We would not hesitate to book with Black Hills Adventure Tours again.

5.00We experienced this tour on a wonderful weather day. Our guide was Jacki, she did a great job. We walked the streets of Deadwood, saw a shootout in the streets, went to the cemetery to Wild Bill’s grave. So much to see and do!

5.00A wonderful experience with an excellent guide. Al was full of information on all aspects of the area and historical facts. The changing aspect of the landscape was beautiful and there were many opportunities to take photos. A great experience altogether.

5.00This tour company is top notch with excellent communication from the owner. Our tour guide, Al, was fantastic. The tour was customized to our interests and top on our list was to see Devil’s Tower in WY and then swing back through Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood. We got to do all of it and had a fantastic time with Al, who was chock full of information about all of the sites. We learned so much about the sites and Al knew the best places for photos. Al was also quite knowledgeable about Custer and his movements and battles in the area. We had a great lunch at a place in Spearfish Canyon too! I give this company my highest recommendation; you will not be disappointed!

5.00Mike was very knowledgeable of the history and facts pertaining to Devil’s Tower. We had a great hike around the base of the monument. We saw a herd of Rocky Mountain Goats grazing and leaping across a creek in Spearfish Canyon. It was very exciting to see. Mike helped us look for animals and took us to see the falls. He expertly drove us to all of the best locations in the Northern Black Hills. I would recommend Mike as a tour guide.
A wonderful trip and tour which created life memories.

5.00Mark is a fantastic guide! My wife and I took our older parents to the Black Hills for their first visit. Mark was very patient and knowledgeable and related well to everyone!! I can't recommend Mark and the company more highly than to say they are the best!! Highly highly recommended!!
Deadwood area

5.00Mark took us through a beautiful landscape and saw 3 waterfalls. Lunch at a Casino and a walking tour of Deadwood. Certainly a highlight seeing old buildings and Hotels. This was our last day and I would be remiss not to once again point out how impressed we were with Mark Barker our leader. We have traveled many times with a private guide and Mark was excellent in his knowledge and the many different landscapes.
Beautiful canyon and historic Deadwood.

5.00Beautiful trek through Spearfish canyon, short hikes, great waterfalls with a knowledgeable guide. Stopping in Deadwood was like stepping back in time to the Old West of the 1870’s. Our guide, Mark, a lifetime South Dakota resident added incredible color to the trip. Book this and ask for Mark!!
