5.00We enjoyed an exceptional half day tour with Anand. He is very considerate, gentle and authentic in his passion for all things concerning Bikaner. He collected us from the Narendra Bhawan hotel and took us to see some of the most splendid places - offering us detailed insight into the temples and royal palace and fort (& cenotaphs) that answered all our quest for knowledge. He also kindly ‘went lighter’ on areas we had said that we weren’t interested in (camels, the army & the museum). Included in our tour were splendid visits to & around Jain temple, Rampuria group of havelis (including a surprise tour inside one - which was stunning), Junagarh Fort, Devi Kund (royal cenetaphs) and finally a short visit to the miniature art gallery where we met the artist. Overall we consider ourselves fortunate to have Anand as our guide and we would personally recommend him for the same tour to anyone visiting Bikaner.
