5.00This is a fantastic site. It appears to be almost the same as it was in 1863 with many monuments (1400 apparently) detailing various actions, commemorations and locations around the site. Our bus driver was lovely and very helpful and Clay, the guide was very knowledgeable albeit we spent more time on the Confederate battle lines rather than the Union side. I’d definitely do it again.

It was fascinating to learn the facts and see all the monuments and holes left in buildings and barns from bullets and cannonballs, and find out how the battles went throughout those three horrible days. We would almost need to come again to assimilate all the information provided and then take time to walk the area some to absorb it all! It was fascinating , enlightening and excellently done!
