Welcome to Zhangjiajie, a breathtaking world of towering peaks and unforgettable scenery! Your private tour guide and driver will greet you at the airport or railway station with your name sign and transfer you to the hotel booked by your own. For easy access to the park, we recommend staying in Wulingyuan, close to the East Gate.
Full Day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
BaiLong Elevator
Today, let’s delve into the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. In the morning, we will explore the most famous Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. After entering the scenic area, to save you time and effort, we have generously offered you the chance to ride the Bailong Elevator, the world’s highest outdoor sightseeing lift built on a cliff, with a vertical height difference of 335 meters (1,100 feet), cutting what used to be a 4 or 5 hours’ drive to the mountaintop to only 88 seconds.
We will explore the most famous Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. Prepare to be amazed by the incredible shape of the Hallelujah Mountain, which is so rare that it was chosen as the model for Floating Mountains of Pandora in the US sci-fi film Avatar. After that, take the sightseeing shuttle bus to Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Here, you will get a glimpse of the imposing peak wall landscape, the Natural Great Wall.
Tianzi Mountain
Then make our way to Tianzi Mountain, where the terrain is high, with long and wide vision and rich perspectives. At the end of the tour, take the scenic cable car down the mountain and get back to your hotel.
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon & Golden Whip Stream

Golden Whip Brook
The afternoon brings a change of pace. Your guide will lead you back into Zhangjiajie National Forest Park for a peaceful hike along the Golden Whip Stream. Here, you'll walk through untouched forest, with the soft murmur of the brook at your feet and towering peaks soaring high above.
Tianmen Mountain & Cave, Departure from Zhangjiajie
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
In the morning, start your remarkable day to the Tianmen Mountain, a legendary mountain in Zhangjiajie, famous for its naturally formed hollow Tianmen Cave on the hillside. Try the cliffside Glass Skywalk and enjoy the landmark Tianmen Cave by the round-trip ropeway. After the tour, your guide and driver will escort you to the airport or train station according to your schedule and bid you farewell.

This was our best holiday experience.The itinerary designed by our travel consultant Ashley was perfect. Our English speaking guides great, punctual and with attention to detail A hotel problem was addressed asap with an upgrade. We enjoyed every moment. Food was excellent. The guides provided comprehensive information on the history of China and the attractions awesome and the landscapes fabulous. People was friendly.

5.00This was the best trip I have ever taken. Our tour guides were all good , but none as attentive, knowledgable and funny as Jeffrey our Shanghai tour guide. He was always prepared and at the ready with various travel needs: tissue, candy, information. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00Kelly from China Travel Guide took care of everything prior to the arrival. We were group of 8 and folks were coming from different locations in US. We took the trip that included getting Tibet visa too. Entire trip was outstanding. She co-ordinated all pickups and arrangements too. Our guide Maggie in Beijing was outstanding, picking up from airport, and taking care of everything during our three days in Beijing. The hotel Rennsaaince was excellent, and perhaps the best hotel and breakfast choices during our entire 16 days travel in China. Maggie took care of everything including extras like shows, shopping, SIM cards etc. Had fun time and then took train to Xian.

5.00After having our travel arrangements cancelled by another company with very short notice (3 weeks before departure), we were lucky to find ChinaTravelGuide. We had an unforgettable experience in China and from the moment we contacted Selena all our arrangements were taken care of with enthusiasm and professionalism. We were kept informed of any changes at all times. We traveled with a lovely bunch of 13 other people for some of our journey before ending up with just 4 of us. The others being on different itineraries. Our guides in each place we visited were very knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Linda in Beijing was our first guide and helped us feel relaxed and cared for. She always made sure she had everyone 'in her family' before moving on to the next stop. Apart from the hotel (Great Wall...previously Sheraton) in Beijing, the rest were very good, comfortable and well situated. We saw so many amazing sights I spent my days saying 'Wow'. Guilin was my favourite and the cruise on the Yangtze very special. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a tour where you feel safe and everything is taken care of without feeling too rushed. China is a must to visit!
