The UNESCO Lavaux region is a site to behold. Dating back more than 1000 years, the region is renowned for not only its panoramic views of Lake Geneva but also its sought after wines.
In this easy and fascinating walking tour**, you will discover the many stories, cultures and history of this region and sample wines from local winemakers.
Hosted by Marc, a certified UNESCO World Heritage Guide, wine educator/sommelier and journalist, he will share many stories from amongst the vines. He will also discuss the art of wine-tasting and appreciation, whilst you uncover the enigma of Swiss wine. You'll leave with many memories of this iconic region.

5.00This wine tour with Marc was so wonderful. Lavaux is absolutely stunning. Marc made this experience so fun and educational. He has a fascinating background and is unofficially the Mayor of Lavaux. He challenged us and taught us a lot about Swiss wine. Thank you Marc - we loved the wine walk!

5.00We had a fantastic time exploring the UNESCO heritage terraces of Lavaux with Marc. He is incredibly knowledgeable and brought the region to life with fantastic stories about how the terraces and Chasselas wine came about. We had two completely different winery stops he curated: one paired with a delicious local charcuterie board, and the second with incredible Swiss chocolates. It was the perfect way to experience the distinct personalities of the local wines. Marc walked us through each pour beautifully, helping us really appreciate the distinct personalities of each wine while keeping the vibe completely relaxed, fun, and engaging. Thank you, Marc, for your incredible hospitality and a truly memorable afternoon. Highly recommended!

5.00We wanted to explore the vineyards but I was hoping for a bit more background or local insight than we could get ourselves. I found this tour, saw the glowing reviews, and was looking forward to it as our final day of our trip to Switzerland. Marc is the real deal. His background and career is truly fascinating, his wine knowledge top notch and his charisma and energy was contagious. He was about 10 min late due to an unusual train delay and he was super communicative the whole way. He gave us precise instructions on how to meet up with him on the train, then got us safely on our return train. His background in food, travel, wine, storytelling and the UNESCO heritage of the region was put to good use answering our many questions. And he gave us wonderful insight into Swiss culture overall. Highly recommend spending an afternoon with Marc!

5.00Wine education, Great wines Great views. It was perfect!!! Marc was absolutely spectacular!!!! We have had private and group wine tasting tours in dozens of locations across the U.S. and Europe. But Marc’s knowledge and willingness to share, his desire to customize the tour to the groups interests and his general goal to make us have a great experience set this apart. Lavoux is by far the most beautiful wine region I have ever been to. There is nothing quite like walking through the vineyards with the views of the lake and the mountains and of course the cascading hills of vineyards. Marc picked a great path and great vineyards to stop at for our tastes and desires. Marc started off with great communication about how to get to his meeting location and continued to text us ideas for the coming days after the tour was over. I can’t speak highly enough of how much my wife and I loved this tour from the views to the wine to the charcuterie to the knowledge shared. I would recommend Marc’s tour to anyone. PS - he has a book on Swiss wines coming out this Fall- will be a great way to familiarize yourself with the area before his tour. An absolutely amazing afternoon!!!

5.00We absolutely loved our tour with Marc! He is incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. He’s fantastic at telling the stories of both the history and wines of the area. Not only were the views on the tour breathtaking, but the wines Marc selected for us to try were wonderful and unlike anything else we’ve had. The ability to do a walking tour rather than being a on a bus was also such a unique aspect - getting up close to the vines made the tour so much more immersive and enjoyable. This was definitely the highlight of our trip! As a side note, Marc was so helpful with logistics. He reached out a few weeks in advance and helped to figure out what train we should be taking. When our first train arrived late and we missed our second train, he helped with getting us to the right spot, checking in with us until we met up with the group. He went above and beyond what we would expect a typical “tour guide” to do. Can’t recommend Marc and this tour highly enough!

5.00This was probably one of the best tours I've ever been on. It didn't hurt that the weather and scenery was perfect. What I loved most was that this wasn't simply a wine tasting, it was a wine experience. Marc is about the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. He made the tour so fun and enjoyable because of his bubbly personality. We learned so much from him about Swiss wine and the Lavaux region, but it didn't feel an educational lesson, it was like we were just friends hanging out. We didn't drink wine inside a cellar or cold tasting room, we drank on the most beautiful terraces overlooking the vineyards and Lac Lemon. I could have stayed there a week! Book this tour!!
