5.00Wonderful day trip from Biarritz to Bordeaux yesterday! The van was very comfortable and the 2 hour drive to Bordeaux went by very quickly. The walking tour covered all of the main sights and there was plenty of time to take photos (especially the reflection on the water at the Place de la Bourse) and to buy canelés on the main shopping street. Lunch at a local restaurant - seated outside - was relaxed and delicious. We visited a few more sights on foot after lunch before taking the city tram to La Cité du Vin (wine museum). There was more than an hour at the museum which gave me time to do the audio tour and also sample one (or two) glasses of wine at their rooftop. There was then a 2 hour drive back to Biarritz, arriving back at my hotel just before 6pm. This tour made it so simple and a lot easier than doing it on my own (taking a train from Biarritz to Bordeaux).
