Joey Tristan was the best! Her photos of us with the Aurora in the background were amazing and an unexpected and unique gift she offered to all of her guests without cost. She should mention this wonderful memento in her advertising of her tour.

The tour is well worth the cold (though locals will debate that it's spring already). Joey is highly affable and the trip was worth every penny. Joey made every effort to take care of the guests. The tour started on time and as promised we did go on an aurora chase. Truth be told, sometimes they don't show up but be rest assured that Joey does her best to look for areas that are clear. The cookies, the warm berry tea, by the fire in my opinion was good for the cold. It really helped to warm us up. To top things off, she takes really beautiful pictures and is so enthusiastic about aurora. Thank you for the great experience and photos. We truly appreciate it.

Our tour guide, Joey, was super kind and available for helping all the participants with the pictures of the lights. The tour included several stops, so we did not stay for long time in the same place. The trasfer was done by bus, there was a group of 30ish people, we would have probably preferred a smaller group

I had one of the most beautiful moments of my life thanks to this magical night during which we were able to observe the exceptional Northern Lights but also because our guide knew how to make this moment so special! We were able to be photographed with the dawn with the professional camera of our guide who offered us for free all the photos she took with exceptional quality! She sent us everything the next morning so it was super efficient! Honestly, I've rarely seen such an invested guide. She took the time to help us take better pictures and share valuable information about the history of the dawn and the Sami people. I highly recommend this guide that will make your experience magical!

The entire team of Lights Over Lapland from answering my many questions before our trip to our incredible guide Gavin we would highly recommend. The lights and Dog Sledding were our highlights

Joey was a very nice guide for the aurora tour in Abisko. We are grateful for her attention, her help to take pictures and her joy ! She explains a lot of things and answers to any question we asked. And so kind to take pictures for everybody and give the web link to see them. We will keep a big memory of this night, the first time in our life to see the northern lights. Thank you so much Joey and wish the best to you

Our hotel in Abisko was absolutely perfect: superb location, lovely sauna, excellent meals and super staff. Thanks to your excellent guide Miquel we experienced one of THE most memorable weeks of our lives. Truly unforgettable. Not only did Miquel manage to find places where we could admire Aurora on literally each and every day of our visit, but we also learned a lot from him about the history of the region and the Samis and their customs (past as well as present). Also, with his professional background in photography and documentary work, he was a perfect help in setting up our own cameras and pointing out what would lead to the perfect picture. He knew exactly where to find the right spots to admire the Northern lights, and we also very much enjoyed chatting about the universe and life in general and socialising - either outside in the snow or in the tipi near the fire while warming ourselves, roasting marshmellows and drinking hot lingonberry juice. We could not have had a more enjoyable stay or a better guide.

I have to give the highest praise for Sarah Brockmann, who was our guide for this 5-day 4-night trip. Sarah was a very thoughtful guide who planned our days around our specific interests. She was very knowledgeable about auroras and timed our evening chases perfectly. One night we had bad weather, and she offered options that were equally fun. We ended up making Swedish s’more’s in a tent. And we saw the most beautiful auroras on the other nights!

Chasing the Auroras in Sweden was a great trip! Sara Brockmann was a great guide. Very friendly, professional, and well prepared for each of our nights photographing the Auroras. Her knowledge of the area, culture and people made this trip a wonderful learning experience!

From the moment we Landed, Sara from Lights over Lapland (LoL) took care of us. She sent a message on where to join her literally as soon as we walked off the plane. As we corralled our luggage we made a pit stop in Kiruna for last minute snacks and drinks. The drive to Abisko was scenic and informative with the latest goings on with the city and the iron mine as well as points of interest. Once Sara Brockman settled us into the “Lovely House” we rested up from our travel, had a really neat dinner of local cuisine, moose burgers one night, reindeer tacos, Char (fish) and Swedish meatballs( a unique meal each night). LoL provides full body thermal coveralls and serious warm and water-proof boots. Sooo, after dinner Sarah picked us up and drove us to the first nights location where there was a teepee with a spacious deck around it to set up the 35 mm digital SLRs and tripods, that LoL provided. Right off the bat we experienced distinct Northern Lights and had plenty of time to play with the cameras, pose for photos and experiment with different lighting conditions. Sara was super helpful with tips and just taking the “pro-shot” so we were clearly in the picture with bright dramatic aurora behind in the sky! Did I mention the Tee Pee had a warm stove? Sara prepared hot Lingonberry juice as we were able to duck in and warm up for the next period of just looking at the awesome sky. Sara got the stove going made the TeePee as comfortable as can be. We wrapped up after about 3+ hours since the aurora dimmed and clouds came it. Night number 2, Sara again picked us up after dinner and took us to an ice hut out in the middle of the lake also fitted with a stove and benches. We set up our individual cameras and horsed around with the northern lights over head and even experimented with light painting. When we got chilly we just went into the hut and had some warm juice. Sara anticipated and prepared for our whole evening. After a few hours the aurora ebbed and we called it a night. The third night, Abisko had mixed snow and drizzle so no Aurora but Sara took us to a Yurt and we had S’mores Sweden style. We chatted and enjoyed the dessert then headed home . The LAST NIGHT WAS BEST OF ALL. The northern lights were EPIC. The photos are unforgettable and again Sarah worked everything out. We were towed by snow mobile in a sleigh!
