What To Expect
Tiger Hill Observation Deck
Tiger hill is the highest point in the Darjeeling area. An early morning trip to witness the sunrise is a must. Watching the rising sun strike the colossal Mt. Kanchenjunga range of snow_capped peaks in a blaze of rapidly changing colors is truly spectacular.Tiger Hill is now part of a nature preserve the meadows of which are suitable for picnics. From, Tiger Hill, take a small walk downhill to visit the Sincheal temple, dedicated to Hindu Godness Durga.
Batasia Loop
The heritage train makes a 360 degree turn at this gigantic railway loop almost 5 kilometre from town.Built to help the steam train negotiate the steep terrain. Batasia Loop is strategically located to offers a panoramic view of the mountain beyond. Within the loop lies a war memorial that commemorates the brave souls who scarified their lives in India various war since 1947. Adjacent to the memorial is a local market where visitors can buy purses, bag and other decorative items.

5.00It is very difficult to see the vast expanse of Darjeeling, India and its winding and hilly roads without a car, and so the Darjeeling Full Day tour is just what you need to see this beautiful part of the India and the Himalayas. Mr Abhishek organised the tour and my tour guide/driver was Rajat. They were very nice and eager to show you the sights of Darjeeling. You will be taken by car to various temples, the war memorial and Darjeeling Himalayan Railway train interchange, the Tiger Hill observatory, the Darjeeling Zoo, the Happy Valley tea factory, and a particular treat - the Tibet refugee site - where I learned invaluable information on the history of Tibetan refugees in Darjeeling. The tour really does give you a great overview of Darjeeling in one day. I highly recommend it!

5.00We had a fantastic full day tour of Darjeeling! Communication was great and we were super excited to see the sites of Darjeeling and we were not disappointed. Our driver host and guide were fantastic and we had easy conversation and camaraderie throughout the day. The tour was super flexible, my sis is a buddhist and i love culture and history so the beautiful monasteries were a real highlight and the guys very kindly added extra monasteries to our itin and as we werent so into the cable car ride, we just swapped that piece for monasteries. Our guide was so knowledgeable, so dont skip that opportunity, well worth the price. The car was in great condition and comfortable and the driving expert. We had a Fantastic time! One highlight was when “Hotel California” played on the car radio, suddenly two young Nepalese/indian men in their early 20’s and two American/Canadian 60 year old ladies all sang all verses together- a small world indeed. Do the Tour!!!
