You should definitely take the castle tour (one of them), Glorietta ticket, and zoo ticket combo. It will take you the better part of the day, but trust me it's worth it.

The Schönbrunn Zoo is one of the best Zoos I’ve been too and in the UK and Europe I’ve been to quite a lot but this zoo being the world’s oldest really was amazing. You know how you go around some Zoos and you notice that either it’s a bit run down or they just don’t put that much care into the zoo well hopefully when you visit this Zoo it has all the care and it’s not run down. It’s vast and beautiful, the trail is a great idea to tell you how to get to all the spots in the zoo and we decided to walk the whole trail which lead us up to the highest point which was a farm and a beautiful old farm house where we had a nice traditional Apple strudel and coffee recommended to us by a lovely welcoming lady. We then saw artic mountain wolfs on our way up to the farm on the hill, definitely more of a mountain climb but really worth it. On the way down we ended up on the tree top bridges which were really fun and went past some monkeys and then as you make your way down the hill there was a black bear enclosure. They have most animals all in one place which is fantastic including a large aquarium and a bird and bat enclosure which you can walk through. Elephants and giraffes were and other great things to see as well as the panda. Worth every penny and took about 4.5 hours too see it all. The palace on the other hand wasn’t great as the staff was rude, a different experience from the start and we didn’t end up going in as the manners were not present and the gestures used were just rude. I would say stick to the zoo instead.
