Rohit was great but did not grow up in Puducherry so on one hand provided some good context but on the other hand was not a local. He spoke French (impressive) and we did some of the markets, Good way to walk the city.

A small tourist destination. Auroville was most interesting. The colonial history seems to be everywhere. The sunday market at MG road , excellent bargains.
