  • A Monument Valley Tour to Remember!

We had the most amazing morning with our guide, Larry! He was such a great storyteller, full of history and information for our group. He took us to the hoodoos, which was very special as we could listen to the experienced Navajo grandmother and her granddaughter explain how they cultivate the land and make yarn and other household items. The views were magnificent and we especially loved listening to Larry play the k’asda’a so sweetly. He also took several pics of our group. It was a memorable experience!

  • Monumental, magical, mystical tour!

A wonderful experience starting with a " buckin' bronco" ride in the safari- like truck around the main monuments before going to the backcountry, inaccessible to self- drive visitors. Travis our Navajo guide was immensely informative about the area and particularly the native American history which was fascinating. He also treated us to a flute and drum performance in one of the sacred arenas and showed us photographic techniques to get the best record of this spiritual place. .A memorable day. Ahéhee.

We did the 2 1/2 hour tour with Travis as our guide. We loved the tour ! Very interesting particularly to learn about the Navajo history and culture. The tracks are bumpy but good fun - so was going over a sand dune ! Lots of photo opportunities. One of the best days of our holiday - thank you Travis 😊

The Navajo guides Travis and Sandrea were both wonderful! It was very informative and almost spiritual as they told fascinating stories of their heritage. The sites you are privileged to see in the Mystery Tour are well worth paying extra for (they are on restricted tribal lands).

  • Wonderful - don't miss it - well worth the cost!

Wonderful! Travis was an amazing guide! Our 13 & 15 year old grandchildren thought it was the best thing we've done and wished it could have been longer. (We did the 2.5 hour tour.) You do get out of the vehicle occasionally for short walks so I would advise wearing tennis shoes. And it wasn't as hot as I expected on a hot June day because there's a breeze when you're riding.

  • Morning and magical discovery of the landscapes and the Navajo way of life in the backcountry of Monument Valley.

Activity to do in Monument Valley! For 3 and a half hours, we explored the scenic drive without having to worry about managing the trail, just enjoying the scenery! Our Navajo guide introduced us to one of the elders of his tribe; they explained their way of life and their positive thinking. We were delighted to see the backcountry, which is inaccessible without the accompaniment of a Navajo, and what a magical moment in this open cave flooded with light from the sun's eye where 4 Navajos gathered to sing traditional enchanting songs with music (2 types of flutes and tambourines). We left around 8:30 in the morning in the cool, and there was no better way to start the day!

We took the all day backcountry and Mystery Valley tours with Andrea as our guide. We highly recommend both the tours and the guide! Mystery Valley was especially cool because you get away from the crowds and see parts of the park that are inaccessible to the public. It felt like a real adventure!
