5.00The whole experience was exceptional! Everyone was extraordinarily kind and the whole cooking process was explained well. If in sigiriya, book this instead of the standard tours you get recommended by drivers etc so you experience the real Sri Lankan ways

5.00Today I had a very fun and educational cooking lesson. Much explanation has been given with examples. Kumara is very enthusiastic and can tell well. Uses humor in his stories and therefore completely involves you in his knowledge about the food and spices. This allows you to get to know traditional srilankan cuisine at its purest. An incredibly fun experience, with a sweet family who has a passion for cooking.

5.00We had a really good time cooking with Kumara and his wife. At first, we visited their garden, then started cooking Rice and different currys, as well as string hoppers, Coconut Roti and Sambol. As desert we had some hoppers filled with coconut and local honey. We shared the class with two other girls and would definitely recommend it! In the end, we got a little present, could decide for homegrown organic spices and got the recipes. Thank you!

5.00This family was complete magic ✨ you MUST visit this gorgeous kitchen and people. We arrived at 2:30pm and was welcomed with a delicious cardamom tea (best I’ve ever drunk). The hard work that they put into this place really shows and the food was beyond delicious! YUM!!! Best meal we have had in Sri Lanka, so fresh and flavoursome. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Book it now ! You won’t regret it! 🙌🏼

5.00What a great experience! Kumara and Thanuja were the first ones in Sigiriya to provide real organic cooking classes. We got lots of information about Ayurvedic cooking and ingredients in their garden before we did the actual cooking. The food was delicious and Kumara sent us a whole recipe book afterwards. This is the families only source of income and it’s been hard for them lately because of more (and unfair) competition - people cancelling last minute because they got talked into doing another class (where a hotel manager, tuktuk driver,… gets commission). You could really help them by joining their cooking class. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!
