As you board the luxury passenger van, you will be instantly treated like a celebrity. Leather seats and a comfortable ride await you. As we pick up other guests around the city, you will be given a mini-tour of the city or you may watch a film about other plantations to prepare you for your tour. While you are on the van, be prepared to be entertained by the driver! You will not just sit in silence.

What To Expect
Whitney Plantation
Here you will spend about 2.5 hours on the plantation grounds exploring a national historic landmark. Go behind the scenes and learn the real stories of plantation life. Whitney tells the story of life through the eyes of the enslaved people who lived and worked there. It also includes the history of the early owners, the Haydel family.
Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site
Laura is a French Creole plantation that was run by four generations of French Creole women.

5.00We did the Whitney Plantation Tour through Kendall Faulk. As the owner and driver, he took excellent care of us, keeping us informed and entertained on our entire journey. We covered all ranges of topics. The visit at Whitney Plantation itself was excellent. Highly recommend you do this tour if you wish to hear about the history of slavery from the perspective of slaves and to hear the history based on the research done of those that lived on the plantation. Excellent tour, money well spent.

5.00Such a great day!! Transportation and tour of the Whitney Plantation from New Orleans. Personalised pick ups. A small group of us driven with great care in a spotlessly clean mini van. Comfy journey and a bottle of water included. Knowledgeable narrative by Kin (assisted by a little microphone for clarity) throughout the journey explaining the area and local history focusing on the background to the Planatation era and the exploitation of people of colour forced into a lifetime of slavery. A short video film related to the Plantations played in the vehicle as we returned to make the journey appear shorter! Kin obviously works so very hard to make his business the absolute best, proving excellent service with clear and courteous directives throughout. We were taken care of very well. This Plantation tour will not disappoint and the day is made exceptional by the wonderful service Kin provides.

5.00We took the Whitney Plantation tour with transportation included, and a huge part of what made the experience memorable was our guide, Kin. He was incredibly knowledgeable, a safe driver, and full of fascinating information and stories about New Orleans, Louisiana, and the historic properties we visited. Kin was exceptionally organized and communicated clearly throughout the day regarding pick-up times, drop-offs, and departure schedules from each plantation. Beyond his professionalism, he was genuinely funny and made the group feel welcome by taking the time to learn everyone's name and hear a bit of their story. He also shared honest recommendations for local food spots, which we greatly appreciated. Kin is a wonderful ambassador for New Orleans and its culture, and we would not hesitate to book another tour with him in the future. Highly recommended!

5.00Amazing experience!! Kin is an exceptional travel guide and driver, a NOLA local who knows his home .....with some of the best food and activity recommendations too!! The Whitney Planation was the best tour choice for our group; Dominque, our tour guide at Whitney, was FANTASTIC at telling the stories of her ancestors. My family of 8 are still sharing this wonderful experience with our extended family and friends. Loved that Kin also promised my 2 year old (more like 7) grand-daughter that she would also see an alligator. And she/we did! The stop for ice cream and sandwiches too on the way back to downtown was an additional welcomed treat. Thank You Kindrell!!!

5.00Kin was absolutely the highlight of my trip to New Orleans! He was so generous with answering all my questions and sharing his stories as someone born and raised New Orleans. Kin was professional, kind, responsive, respectful, funny, and accommodating. I was very impressed with how safely he drove us and how calm he remained with the crazy drivers in the torrential rain! He offers many tours, so I would recommend booking all of the tours you take through him. And of course, remember to be generous with your tips! He is well-worth it!

5.00first and foremost this tour was so informative. we like to go on historical tours of plantations because we love learning about the history of the slaves in different parts of the country. Most times you get the story of the owners more so than the owned. This was the first tour we've taken that focused on the enslaved narrative. I appreciated having an actual tour guide instead of the self guided AND being able to get a glimpse of the other plantations in the area as we drove. Our f driver and guide for the day Kindrell is absolutely amazing. He gives you the history of NOLA and points out landmarks as you arrive and leave. He is a great resource for finding spots in NOLA during your stay. You will enjoy every moment on this half day tour. Most definitely recommend!
