1. Reach our historic palace in the heart of Florence near Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, enjoy one of the most authentic culinary experiences in the city.

2. Visit the Pasta Museum with an expert guide and discover antique tools and the fascinating history of fresh pasta.

3. Put on your apron and use the rolling pin to learn how to make authentic fresh pasta by hand.

4. Sit down and enjoy the pasta you prepared, sharing a convivial Italian-style meal together.

5. Take part in a professional wine tasting, sampling five organic Tuscan wines from our family farm. You will also have access to our shop to purchase wines and pasta tools at special prices.

What To Expect

Join one of the most authentic pasta cooking classes in Florence, held in a beautiful historic palace just steps from the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. This immersive Florence cooking class combines tradition, hands-on pasta making and a guided Tuscan wine tasting. The first part of your experience is the visit to the Pasta Museum, where an expert guide will show antique tools used for centuries to make fresh pasta and explain the fascinating history of Italian pasta making. Then it’s time for your hands-on pasta class in Florence. With the help of a professional instructor, you’ll learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch using a rolling pin and simple ingredients. Knead the dough and prepare classic shapes such as ravioli, tortelli and fettuccine. After the cooking class, sit down and enjoy the pasta you prepared together in a convivial Italian-style meal. The experience also includes dessert and a wine tasting of five organic Tuscan wines from our family farm, produced from traditional native grape varieties. The experience requires a €20 payment to the Cultural Association, which manages part of the experience. Receipt provided on site.

    What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon in Florence! We had a large group of family and friends and it was a perfect activity for blended ages. We were there during a heat wave, so the nice air conditioned facility was great. It was also complete with a short informational film, a small museum on the history of pasta, and then the hands on class. Eloise, our chef, was warm, knowledgeable, and a wonderful teacher. She was patient and kind with all the children and adults. We thoroughly enjoyed the process of making the pasta as well as the feast itself! The food was delicious and the wine was great too! The adults felt like we left with the ability to do this again on our own, and they gave us recipe cards to help. Sometimes when you book things online you don’t know what you’re getting, but this was really as good as advertised. Don’t hesitate to sign up-just make sure you have ample time (our class was 4 hours) or communicate your time limits at the start of class.

    The pasta class was very informative and fun! My partner and I ended up sharing the class with a lovely family and enjoyed cooking with them and chatting with them during dinner. Our teacher was amazing and she was very attentive and knowledgable. The pasta was DELICIOUS and ended up being one of my favorite meals of our trip. Just note that Viator is not the most reliable place to book this. Our class was supposed to be at 4:30 but they did not reach out to tell me day-of that the class would actually be at 4:00. So we were 30 minutes late to class even though we could have easily shifted our schedule if informed ahead of time. I fully believe this was the fault of Viator, not the place that we took the class. So I would say definitely book this class for a fun experience and cool souvenir (knowledge and the recipe book), but maybe book it on a different site, not Viator.

    Simone was an incredible host/chef/teacher. Our family of four, along with six new friends, learned how to make three types of pasta and then enjoyed two pasta dishes, organic wine and a chocolate dessert which was paired with limoncello. Included in our teachings were helpful hints on not only the creation of the pasta but also the ingredients for great sauces. It was such a fun time!

    We had a wonderful time at the Pastamania class. My husband and I attended with our two boys (13 and 11), and they were thrilled with the pasta they made — my youngest now calls it his new favorite.     This was a really wonderful class! I thought the teacher was really good and made things fun and easy to learn. Really appreciated her knowledge and the attention she showed us. She also created a fun and jovial atmosphere that helped everyone get in the mood and there was lots of camaraderie during the cooking, eating and wine tasing. 10/10 with no notes. Would definitely do again!

    We made pasta with Simona today, and what a fantastic teacher and chef she is. She accommodated 8 of us with a breeze, the youngest being about 7 and the oldest was me at 65. She showed us how delicate yet robust pasta can be. We made fettuccine which was served with a tomato sauce and ravioli filled with ricotta, parmesan and truffel. This was served with a butter and sage sauce.
