The guided tour of the University of Coimbra includes: - School Hall - Joanine Library - St. Michael's Chapel - Royal Palace (Sala dos Capelos)
Biblioteca Joanina
The visit of the Joanina Library is scheduled every twenty minutes. There is a library viewing time of maximum 10 minutes and no photos are allowed inside.

5.00This was a very educational experience. We learned about the former king’s palace, the history of the university, the chapel where the Kings worshipped and the Coimbra library, which was beautiful.

5.00Our guide was Renan and he was fabulous! The tour was just not about the University but about the history of Portugal including cultural aspects. His knowledge of Portugal history is unbelievable. And his delivery was great. Run, don't walk to his tours.
