What To Expect

Lawrence's Spring

Once you arrive there you can see a natural spring which is used by both the animals and Bedouins as a source of fresh water. This is a popular spot for camels to go to. Here, you can follow the pipe up the mountain to climb up to a few fig trees for a great view over the spring and the surrounding desert. Please note this is not an easy climb. Even though it seems easier going up, going down is much more difficult. Be aware you will be needing your hands and feet to hike and climb up the rocks. You can ask your guide for the best way up and down.

Wadi Rum Protected Area

Drive through where "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed on our way to the Sand Dune with 360 view. You can hike up this sand dune to the rocky outcrop. Then it's a short easy climb to get to the top. From there you get a 360 degree view of that part of the red desert. If you like, you can bring a board and slide down the sand dune or rent one from the tent nearby for 5 JOD. Opposite the sand dune is the place where they filmed “The Martian”.

It was a really nice stay with our guide, “Raad”. He is a lovely guy who loves his job, and you can feel that in every activity. We were a group of seven people and stayed in his camp for one night. We did a four-hour desert tour with sunset, which was incredible. The traditional dinner, and after that, my highlight, the stargazing. Its is INCREDIBLE! In the morning, we did the camel tour at sunrise, which was also really nice. In total, it was a really great experience, and the price was really good for what we got 👍 Thank you for everything, Raad.

Raad and his family made my daughter and I feel really welcome, safe, warm and comfortable. It was a trip of a lifetime and I will go back for longer. We arrived for the sunset tour and broke fast with other Bedouins by a camp fire and chatted, it was incredible. Returning back to camp under the clear sky full of stars was awesome. We were well fed, looked after and had a great time meeting other travellers and playing cards by the fire in the tent. The mountains changed throughout the day with different colours and shadows, it was amazing, and the sense of quiet was so peaceful. The points of interest in the tour was fascinating and there was a blend of exploring and experience. If you want to connect to our wonderful planet this is definitely worth a visit. I had amazing time in wadi rum thanks to "magic bedouin star"! I took a jeep tour and I saw outstanding sites around + unforgetble sunset + sunrize. The Camp was orginized and lovley. The diner was otentic and tasty. The night was cold but thanks to the heavy blanked it was warmy. SHUKRAN
