What To Expect
Li River
Your guide pick you up at your hotel lobby at about 08:30 am. Enjoy the 1-hour drive to Zhujiang Dock to board one of the best cruises on the Li River. As the ship departs from Guilin at about 9:30 am your fantastic cruise journey starts. Your guide will escort you on board and give you an introduction to the different sites along the way. Once you are there, you would find out what it means by "picturesque"! Around noon, have a simple lunch offered onboard by the cruise company and continue the cruise. The cruise will arrive in Yangshuo after approx. 4 hours. After disembarking at around 2pm, take a stroll on the famous West Street, and then tour around the countryside of Yangshuo. You will also visit a local farmer's house. You could also take a bike tour to enjoy the landscapes.
Guilin
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guilin by an approx. 1.5-hour drive.

5.00Kim was an exceptional guide during our time in Guilin and Yangshuo. He did a wonderful job sharing the rich culture and fascinating history of the area, which made every stop more meaningful. He also arranged tickets for several cultural performance shows, adding even more memorable experiences to our trip. Most of all, Kim showed us the stunning beauty of the countryside and made sure we saw the very best of this incredible region. We truly appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and hospitality.

5.00Great Tour. Part of 4 day trip to Guilin/Yangshuo. 2 person group with private guide and driver. Tony explained everything along the way and then escorted us down West street in Yangshuo to our hotel. Tony had a great sense of humor and understood English very well. Highly recommend this tour and guide Tony. Having a private guide with driver also always your luggage to be driven from Guilin to Yangshuo with having to take it on the boat with you.

From start to finish, she was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the whole experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. The Li River cruise was breathtaking, with stunning scenery at every turn, and Cathrine made it even better by sharing interesting insights and helpful details along the way. In Yangshuo, she guided us to the best spots and helped us experience the area in a way that felt personal and authentic. Her timing and local knowledge made everything run perfectly. What stood out most was Cathrine’s genuine care and attention. She was attentive to our pace, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the day. 5.00The ship was clean, comfortable and pleasant with good views through the windows and from the deck. The views of the mountains was very lovely and engaging. Tea and sweets was provided in the price and food was available to purchase. Tony our guide spoke very good English and was very kind and helpful, explaining and answering questions about the area. Tip- the ship was very crowded and noisy and if you have a choice I would recommend booking the upper level seating area. However still worth going wherever you sit. It was very enjoyable and the car that picked us up from the hotel was clean comfortable and looked like new.

5.00We had an absolutely outstanding experience with our tour guide, Lily Cao, during our visit to Guilin, the Li River cruise and time in Yangshuo. Much like other travelers have noted, Lily is exceptional. The tour was perfectly organized, but it was Lily’s personal touch that made it move us as well. She sang traditional songs to us, which was such a beautiful and authentic way to experience the regional culture. It truly brought the local culture to life. In Yangshuo, she didn't just give us directions; she took a bike ride with us through the countryside, ensuring we saw the best spots while sharing her deep knowledge of the area. Her English is excellent, her energy is infectious, and she is a joy to be around. We are so grateful for the memories she helped us create. If you are visiting Guilin or Yangshuo, we highly recommend requesting Lily Cao!

5.00The boat cruise along the Li river from Guilin to Yangzhou is one of the highlights of our 8-city tour of China, After all the climbing in Zhangjiajie national park, the cruise is a huge change in pace. Our guide, Tony had arranged all the necessary tickets and lunch for the cruise. The scenery along the Li river is spectacular with the lime stone hills, farm land, just like a story book picture! However, one place to avoid is the elephant trunk park in downtown Guilin. Place was crowded and not that unique! Yangshuo is much more picturesque compared to Guilin. The ancient village and farmland just outside Yangshuo are worth visiting. Wish we have more time in Yangshuo.

5.00We had Samantha as our guide for not only this cruise but around Guilin for a couple days. She was very good and took extra care with my mother who was 84 years old. We had a group of 15 and Samantha even arranged for a box lunch for us to take on board since the cruise was 4 hours long. It’s nicely air conditioned in the sitting area, with an observation deck on the top floor.
