What To Expect
Mikumi National Park
Your driver guide will pick you from your hotel at 04:00am and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive. You will have a short break on the way for breakfast. On arrival in Mikumi National Park you will start with game drive and after few hours you will have break for lunch. After lunch you will proceed with game drive up to 15:00pm, and then drive back to Dar es Salaam. On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be dropped to the hotel or airport for your late flight back home. Mikumi National Park was established in1964 covering an area of 1070 square kilometers; it was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. Mikumi National Park is located to the North of the famous Selous Game Reserve. The park is the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and many more.

5.00If you only have time for a 1 day safari, this is a great option. This staff took great care of us. They communicated well with us. They made sure we got from the hotel to the train station. The guide (Mike) was waiting for us with a sign when we arrived. Food provided was good. Mike made sure we saw as much wildlife as we could, and he was engaging in conversation.
Don’t miss this opportunity!

5.00We enjoyed 1 Day Safari From Zanzibar with direct flight to Mikumi.. Top organized by flash tour. The Land Rover Jepp and our guide Gerald and the driver were superb just during this 6 to 7 hours trip on the safari tour. It was unforgettable.

5.00Be forewarned, the drive is very long! But if you only have a day in Dar, hard to imagine a better experience. Saw nearly every type of wildlife you could imagine, from Elephants to giraffes to baboons and hippos! Stopped for food twice and the drive itself was very interesting! My driver was incredibly friendly and attentive. Would recommend a longer safari if possible, but the best you can do for one day!

5.00We have recently done this safari and it really was an outstanding experience. We were unlucky at first because two times the tour was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions but in the end we made it, thanks also to the extraordinary flexibility and friendliness of the operator. Despite the weather and the ongoing rainy season, we managed to see most of the animals incl. several lions and a leopard. The communication with African Pangolin Safaris was very friendly and open. Due to two cancellations, the communication was very intense and at all times the operator was responsive, reliable and forthcoming. I can really fully confirm that we were provided an outstanding service. We chose African Pangolin Safaris in the first place for its good reviews and their rates which were competitive compared to other offerings. The service was top-notch and can only recommend them!

5.00Nixon was a very good guide! He was able to answer all of our questions and we were able to see all of the possible animals. He even spotted a leopard, even though it was hiding in a tree hundreds of meters away. He wanted to make the day unforgettable for us and he definitely succeeded. 5.00This was our second time on an African safari. Yunus, our guide/driver was excellent. He was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient and an excellent driver. Yunus made sure we were able to see all the animals on our wish list. It was an exhilarating day for us, one we will remember forever.
