We had the absolute best time with Yosuke. Every tour is a little different, but ours started with making traditional okonomiyaki pancakes together, which was both delicious and a really fun hands-on experience. From there, Yosuke took us to a beautiful shrine where we participated in a prayer and learned so much about Japanese culture and traditions. We then enjoyed an incredible tempura meal at a local restaurant. The tour usually includes a sushi stop as well, but since I’m currently pregnant, Yosuke kindly adjusted the experience to suit our needs. Yosuke’s knowledge of Japan, from its history to its customs, is truly impressive. He and his business partners founded Goen Japan around the core value of goen, which means meaningful connection, and that intention comes through in everything they do. This wasn’t just a tour — it felt like a genuine cultural exchange. We were blown away by the quality and intimacy of this entirely private experience, especially at such a reasonable price. We highly recommend this tour, or any tour offered by Goen Japan, to anyone who wants to connect more deeply with Japanese culture during their visit.

YoYo took us to a unique variety of spots that we would not have discovered on our own. We experienced local dishes and experienced what locals do after a day at the office. We highly recommend this tour for a fun evening!
