Tiznit
The city was founded in 1882 by the Alawite Sultan Hassan I who endowed it, in 1883, with a long wall still encircling the old medina. Later, the 1886 expedition strengthened the Sultan's power in the region, which grew in importance in the face of Spanish attempts to settle in Ifni after the Spanish-Moroccan War of 1860.

2 girlfriends to Morocco for the first time. Started this desert tour without expectations. There was Rachid, our guide and a luxury SUV for the two of us. Above expectations we visited the first day a pottery and beautiful places along the coast. Beautiful nature. After which we drove towards the Sahara towards the afternoon. We received a warm welcome with tea at the tent camp by the 3 hosts and the highlight was the trip up to the sand dune where we were rewarded with Sahara winds and a beautiful sunset. Thanks to Rachid we have beautiful pictures to enjoy at home. The immense silence of the desert and the view was a mega experience compared to busy Agadir. Back in the tent we got a delicious Berber meal and then enjoyed a campfire with surprise. Dancing to Moroccan music after which we ended the evening by looking at the impressive starry sky. Left the next day after breakfast and were allowed to experience a day full of indigenous Berber customs. Thanks to Rachid we have made an unforgettable trip. Thank you Rachid for your cheerfulness, your knowledge and especially for the feeling of “safety”. You have made a memory possible for us for our lives. Fantastic!!!

We spent our honeymoon start worthy of a dream: luckily we were both while we had not privatized, so Houcine took care of us by showing us around Morocco, clear explanations, laughter, kindness. Anyway, small onions. Honeymoon making, the evening was unforgettable and magical. Choukran Houcine and has maybe soon!

Our family’s 2-day excursion from Agadir to the true desert was spectacular. From the vibrant city of Agadir to the vast, golden dunes of the Sahara, this trip allowed us to immerse ourselves in Morocco’s stunning diversity of landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The journey kicked off with a scenic drive along the coast, stops at four beaches. Legzira Beach took our breath away. The huge rock arches against the backdrop of the ocean were absolutely stunning. Our guide was extremely helpful and patient. He shared stories of local people and environment. The craftsmen we met along this trek helped us to see a bit more of their culture. The overnight stay in the desert was a highlight of the trip. After a day of exploration, we enjoyed a traditional Saharan tagine dinner and danced around the campfire. Sleeping under the stars in the heart of the desert was truly magical. The next morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise over the dunes before heading back to Agadir via the mountainous route.
