Day 3

Accra to Akosombo and back to Accra

Akosombo Hydro Plant

Leave the capital for Akosombo within the shai traditional area and observe the ancestral homes of the ''shais'' before they were driven out by the British and settling in their present location. Arrive at Akosombo and tour the Dam Site and the Largest Man-made Lake in the world which covers 40 per cent the land size of Ghana and see how power is generated in Ghana and see the smallest fish in the world. Return to Accra via the Akwapim hills one of the beautiful geographical scenery in Ghana. Overnight in Accra.

Accra to Kumasi
