What To Expect

We will pick you up at your accommodation or at the meeting location. We will drive outside Rovaniemi center to the husky kennel. At the location you will meet the professional mushers and will give you instructions on how to drive the sled. You will go for an amazing experience of a 10km husky ride through amazing landscapes. At the end you will go inside a traditional kota or yurt to enjoy a warm drink and some cookies and learn about the huskies and the kennel.

We contracted with Wonderlapland the activity of the 10km huskies. An extraordinary experience, from the beginning... the visit to the farm, the explanation in the cabin, and the adventure driving the sled through the snowy forest, darkness of the night and above snowing...what more can you ask for? The children in the sled enjoyed the scenery, the excitement, the adrenaline of the dogs... Our guide Juan was very friendly, he explained everything in great detail and affection. The agency has been great, attentive and friendly, with special mention to Marina. We had also hired the aurora hunting tour but due to the cloud cover we were recommended not to do it and made the full refund. Agency highly recommended!

This was so much fun! We were driven to the husky farm, given instructions on how to drive the sledge, then we were off! Very exciting through beautiful snowy forest. Then a stop halfway to warm up round a fire in a tipi with a hot drink. Back on the sledge to the start. 10km was a good length of time. The husky farm compete their dogs in long distance races, so we were treated to a really interesting talk and video about that before a last stroke of the dogs. All the dogs were very friendly and loved being petted. It was very clear how much the dogs were loved and cared for.
