This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

What To Expect
Kinkakuji Temple
You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.
Bamboo Forest Street
You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto.

5.00Kyoto has so much to offer visitors, and this tour was a fantastic way to see a lot of it in the span of a day. Our tour guide Naru met us at the train station and we set off for a great day of sightseeing. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the city and all the different sights. Naru explained the origins of each place and building in a way that was accessible and easy to understand. He was also very considerate in making sure we had plenty of time for photos and breaks (it’s a lot of walking!), found a place for lunch that spoke to us, and also ending the tour at a place that was convenient for getting back to our hotel in Osaka. Thank you, Kyoto and Naru, for this great day trip!

5.00Yoshi, our guide, was an amazing person and so helpful and kind. He was able to answer any questions we asked him and even if he couldn't, he would ask or confirm for us. This tour covers so much of Kyoto, that trying to do this in one day would be an enormous effort. We were lucky enough to just be in a tour by ourselves and it was a perfect day.

5.00Highly recommend this tour. It covers 10 spots but also gives you an insight on how to get around Kyoto. We dealt with two guides Mutsumi and Mieko and both were so helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of the areas we visited which contributed to the enjoyment of the tour. Both guides went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience while in Kyoto.
