This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

What To Expect
Kinkakuji Temple
You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.
Bamboo Forest Street
You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto.

5.00We were on our first visit to Japan & chose to do the orientation of Kyoto, It was undoubtedly the best thing we chose and luckily had the most attentive & patient guide, pandering to the needs of our group of 6 over-excited adults ! Our guide, Kumi was knowledgeable , kind and stepped up the pace when it was necessary for example when we needed to get onto the train now (and not in five minutes time) What a wonderful compassionate guide you are. Thank you, KUMI for the most memorable day that we live in our hearts for a long time until we return to Kyoto.

5.00Chihiro was very knowledgeable and sweet. Spending time going through the sites in Kyoto with her was amazing. The tour route is very efficient and we were able to see the main attractions of the city all in one day. We also had some bonus sights along the way. We expressed we were worried about the crowds and had hesitations about the bamboo forest, but she kept our preferences in mind and we found a window where there were very few people around. We highly recommend this tour especially if your time in Kyoto is limited.

5.00Tammy (Tamika) was a wonderful tour guide for Kyoto. She provided just enough information about the sites so that we can remember and answered all our questions. She knew where and how to take photos of our group. She also led us to some great stores know for matcha products and spices.

5.00This tour was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken, and I’ve been fortunate enough to do them al over the world! It was so informative, and Mailan was with us every step of the way. She was INCREDIBLE and took the time to tailor our trip as we were on it. A highlight was getting to have lunch, and discuss customs, food, and traditional cuisine with our guide. I cannot recommend this tour enough. She even took photos and sent them to us after! She was fantastic.
You see all the best sites in one day. Yoshi was so kind and thoughtful, he made our last day in Kyoto our best day.

5.00Motoko was our very friendly, informative and enthusiastic tour guide for our Kyoto tour. She took us to everything we wanted to see including customizing our tour to stop at a specific shop our son wanted to go to. She provided a lot of information regarding the area that we never would have learned if we went to the sites on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and definitely recommend taking it especially if you only have one day in Kyoto.
