This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

What To Expect
Kinkakuji Temple
You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.
Bamboo Forest Street
You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto.

5.00We had an amazing experience during our 10 must see spots in Kyoto. This tour allows you to see every major attraction and with a private tour, you get more detailed explanations for every site. Our tour was even more memorable because of our wonderful guide, Yoshi! He was super knowledgeable and made the entire day go smoothly. He also kept things interesting with entertaining conversations and ensured he captured every memorable moment being our photographer as well, which was an added bonus! I would highly recommended this tour and even more so, recommend it because of Yoshi!

5.00We had the most incredible Kyoto tour with Chihiro. In less than 8 hours, we saw all the main spots without ever feeling rushed - everything was smooth, enjoyable, and perfectly paced. Chihiro was like having a best friend from Kyoto showing us around: super friendly, full of amazing energy, deeply knowledgeable, and so well organized. She adjusted the tour on the spot to match what we wanted, made sure we had extra time in the places we loved most, and explained Japan’s history and culture in a way that felt personal and meaningful. It truly felt like we were exploring the city with a local friend rather than a guide. Absolutely unforgettable and highly recommended!

5.00We had a short time in Kyoto and wanted to see as much as we could in one day so we picked this tour. Kaori was incredible! She had our day planned out so we could visit 10 must see spots in 8 1/2 hour and we did it!!! Kaori's pride, knowledge and excitement in Kyoto was contagious and the history she shared was impressive. The symbolism that is absolutely everywhere in Japan would have gone unnoticed by us and we are so appreciative of our time in Kyoto and with Kaori! She is also a fabulous photographer (even in crowds) and we are incredibly thankful for the time we spent in Kyoto, with Kaori and for the photo memories we can revisit forever. I HIGHLY recommend this tour! We never would have been able to see even half of what we did in one day and would have left without the information shared with us by Kaori. It was a Perfect Day!

5.00Absolutely amazing. Fuji-san was so kind and knowledgeable. She adjusted her pace to ours and answered every question in such detail. We were able to see the primary Kyoto sites in one incredible day. Although the tour advertises 10 incredible sites/experiences, I’d change the title to 11 and include Fuji-san because she was an amazing experience and such a treasure to the city of Kyoto. If you’re considering a Kyoto tour, please don’t pass this up!

5.00Our 10 Must-see Spots in Kyoto Tour with Yoshi was amazing. Yoshi’s communication from the beginning to the end was great. The tour route made sure we never felt too crowded and we even got pictures by ourselves, which is rarer in such popular locations. His information about the history of Japan and Kyoto was interesting and his English was excellent. The Japanese restaurant he chose felt authentic, the food was delicious, and not expensive. We couldn’t recommend this tour with Yoshi any higher.

She ensured our tour was informative, fun, and that we covered some personal spots we wanted as well. My daughter, who is especially fond of matcha, explained to Akemi how she wanted to buy some and Akemi ensured we were able to go to these external spots as well. She went above and beyond for us and we had a lot of fun.
