This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.

＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).

The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.

We not only saw many beautiful sites in Kyoto but also learned so much about the food, history, and culture from our wonderful guide, Akiko. She was extremely helpful, organized, and very kind. We were able to quickly navigate the crowds and transportation efficiently. We had a wonderful time.

This tour is THE BEST! Our tour guide, Mieko, was incredible! The sights were amazing, Mieko is extremely knowledgeable and she showed us all the best places to see the optimum views of each location! If you’re looking to see the most well-known locations in one day, then this tour is a MUST! Not to mention, she taught us how to partake in each temple and shrine appropriately (so we didn’t make fools of ourselves). When we finished our tour, my husband and I couldn’t stop gushing about how the day went and all the things we learned and experienced! We truly can’t recommend this tour enough! It’s WELL worth the money and time! Thank you again, Mieko!

This is recommended for first time travelers or those on short schedule if you want to get the most out of your experience in Kyoto. A fairly fast and busy itinerary with lots of walking and steps. But well worth it all to see everything we saw. Chihiro, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience touring the city with her.
