This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

What To Expect
Kinkakuji Temple
You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.
Bamboo Forest Street
You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto.

5.00Mie was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable about Kyoto, the temples and shrines and, of course, Japanese culture. We had a gluten-free dietary request that she researched and offered several options for us. The pace of the adventure was just right with a nice balance of public transportation, taxis and lots of good walking. If you’re looking for a way to see the main sites in Kyoto and you want to pack it all into one day with someone else doing all of the planning and logistics, this is the tour for you… as long as you have the stamina to take advantage of it.

5.00Taka was very knowledgeable. He actually accommodated our meeting location. This booking was well worth it because we actually visited 10 spots in 1 day. Taka gave us history lessons of every spot. We used taxis, bus, train and subway to get to all destinations. Taka made sure we took pictures in the perfect spots. Taka is amazing. After the tour was over, he actually took us back to our train station to make sure we got back to our hotel. Thank you Taka, we loved our tour with you.

5.00We spent the day with Taka. Guide guide who knows the history very well and able to explain us the spiritual side of Kyoto as well. We started at 9.00am and finished at 5.00pm. It was intense and we were able to see many spots, shrines and Temples. The explanations were clear and helped us to better understand this great city. Highly recommended

5.00We spent a great day touring Kyoto with our guide Meiko. We visited beautiful temples, shrines, parks and rivers. Our day also included some shopping and a wonderful lunch. Meiko is very detailed, knowledgeable and fun. Our favorite stop was the Bamboo Forest. Highly recommend!
