This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

What To Expect
Kinkakuji Temple
You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.
Bamboo Forest Street
You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto.

5.00Bring money at least 10K yen and a Sucia card or IC card with at least 1500yen. You may need less some times you can use a credit card. Be prepared to walk we walked about 20,000 steps on this tour. The tour will show you every important site in Kyoto. You will also learn more than you could possibly learn on your own. Having a guide makes the best use of your time. Our guide Hiro was great! He provided a tremendous amount of useful information. He was willing to adjust plans to give us the best tour customized for us.

5.00This was a great way to see Kyoto whem limited for time. My guide,Abe-san was very knowledgeable and answered a number of questions about the sites as well as Japanese history. She was veey efficient on time and considerate about taking breaks. She was kind to take pictures of me at various sites as well. I highly recommend this tour for solo travelers or for anyone with limited time in Kyoto.
