5.00Tolga was amazing! We had so much fun, learned a lot and of course ate even more. Would highly recommend this tour. It’s a great way to see part of the city and learn about the culture; plus you end up finding all the good spots to go back to!

5.00Erol was our tour guide on this Istanbul food tour and he was excellent. The tour was just the right blend of stops, size of portions and information. It started in a cafe with a Turkish breakfast menemen and sujuk and tea, we then moved to try tantuni. Then on for some Turkish coffee, then to a shop to try manti and gozeleme. We then had mackerel wraps, mussels, cig kofte at various stalls. Finally a tulumba. Each stop we heard the history of the food, how Turkish people eat now and Erol was absolutely lovely. I thoroughly recommend for families.

5.00We arranged this tour while in Istanbul. We were a bit skeptical that someone would turn up at the meeting point but it tour guide, Erol was waiting when we got there, ten minutes early. Erol was friendly and approachable on the way to our first stop. He gave an interesting introduction to the tour, along with various historical facts of the area as we passed. We made several stops at during the tour, taking in both local drinks and food. We particularly enjoyed going off the beaten track to discover interesting side streets where locals hang out. We savoured a range of traditional dishes, with Erol explaining the history, along with how each was made. We really wished we had taken the tour earlier in our holiday as we found the background given so informative. We thoroughly recommend the tour to anyone who is interested in history, the local area and tasting traditional dishes.
