Have you ever ridden an open husky sled? The kinship is only vague. And you will hold the reins, too. Yes, you will be the musher (the driver) of the husky slеd. The only requirement is to be more than 18 years old. Of course, the youngsters may be passengers in the back seat. Your fairy tale..”dashing through the snow in a husky open sleigh” begins. Instead of bells the dogs’ barking will jingle, while they enthusiastically follow the trail through the crude, white-clad Lapland forests. It’s really fantastic, a dream come true.

What To Expect
Our guide with a minivan will take you from the hotel in Rovaniemi to visit a husky kennel. There you will be instructed how to lead the sled safely. And you will be assigned a sled only after they check your clothes – they must be warm enough and windproof to survive the arctic temperatures, combined with the speed of the dogs. And your fairy tale..”dashing through the snow in a husky open sleigh” begins. Instead of bells the dogs’ barking will jingle, while they enthusiastically follow the trail through the crude, white-clad Lapland forests. It’s really fantastic, a dream come true. When the expedition is over, you will sit by the open fire, tired of positive emotions, and listen to the mushers in the kennel, who will share how they live and train the dogs. They will gladly answer all your questions.

5.00As a family of four with two children aged 4 and 6 we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend anyone to book it! The dogs were incredibly friendly and we were able to spend time with them after the ride to pet them. We were also able to capture great photos which the woman running it was able to take on our own phones to remember the experience.

5.00We had the absolute best time on our husky adventure! It exceeding expectations even in the -27 degrees temperature! The staff were very attentive to us making sure we had suitable clothing and checking the kids out. Take lots of hand warmers! The dogs were so friendly, very well looked after and absolutely loved it, they were getting annoyed with us when we stopped 😂 the scenery is like something from a film it’s amazing. 100% recommend we had a fabulous day

5.00We had a great husky ride today! Everything went smoothly from communication to transportation to/from the kennel to the ride itself. They let us borrow extra gear since it was a cold day. The route was beautiful through the forest and we warmed up with warm blueberry tea after. Highly recommend as a classic Lapland experience!

5.00Incredible experience dogsledding in Lapland! We loved being able to experience the beauty of the forest while dogsledding. The tour operators communicated well with us both before and during the tour. They gave great instruction on how to drive and brake before we got started and we were led on a snowmobile so the dogs knew the route and the right speed. The tour operators/owners were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They even pointed out wild reindeer on our drive from Rovaniemi to the dog sledding location. Everyone had a great time and after dog sledding was over the kids loved being able to play with the dogs and warm up by the fire. Overall it was an absolutely amazing experience. Would highly recommend to anyone!

5.00Absolutely amazing experience! All the ladies that work there are super experienced, kind and friendly. They showed us how to drive a sled and let us drive it on our own, which was an incredible experience. All people who work there really love the huskies and take very good care of them. It’s like a family of women and huskies, truly exceptional! Definitely recommend visiting the kennel and booking a long husky ride. The best experience we had in Finland!

5.00So much fun and a little scary when the dogs start veering off into the snow but as long as you follow instructions and have a tight grip on the sled, you will love it. The dogs are so cute and you get to play with them after the ride. You can choose to be a passenger or driver but you need to weigh enough to be able to stand on the brake to slow the dogs down as they’re always trying to pass the other dogs. After the ride one of the dogs was nuzzling with me and it was a great experience to talk to the owner and ask questions.

5.00For me, the dog sledding tour was the most beautiful experience of our trip and simply unforgettable! Our guide was very friendly and entertained us well on the way to the farm. There we were surprised a bit by the fact that we were allowed to drive the sled ourselves in turns and then we started: The dogs were very friendly even before the ride and have put on a good gas! It went a beautiful long distance through wonderful winter landscapes, whether snowy forest or snow-glittering vastness. Afterwards the dogs were allowed to pick up their extensive cuddle sessions and we got sausages (also vegan), cookies and warm tea. On the farm there was also the possibility to feed reindeer and enough time for photos.

5.00A great husky ride at a small husky farm 1.5hrs from Rovaniemi with a sausage lunch at the end in a cabin with a fire. Our driver was great and picked us up from our accommodation. The trip was no more than 8 people as advertised. The route was beautiful (part forest and part lake with amazing water bulges). We booked this trip last minute when another was cancelled due to warm weather/snow. So glad to have been able to do this trip and would recommend based on our experience.
