The Palace Museum
From the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn about how the emperor handled political affairs and lived, but also appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. We will serve your lunch today at a good local restaurant nearby.
Temple of Heaven
In the afternoon, you will see the Temple of Heaven, with its unique architecture, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.
Red Theater Acrobatic Show Official
Tonight, we will arrange for you to enjoy the wonderful acrobatic show in the Red Theater. We specially serve you a welcome a la carte dinner (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in tour price) at a popular restaurant, where you can have a taste of the most famous Peking Roast Duck and other authentic typical dishes.

The visit to the Terracotta Army will begin your day's journey. In the museum, there are three excavated pits displaying amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
In the afternoon, you will the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India.

The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. You may also practice Tai Chi with the master. Tai Chi, a soft form of Chinese martial arts, is considered the quintessential Chinese culture. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).

Zhangjiajie

This morning, you will come to visit the Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Walking on the world's longest cable-way, you can take in the beautiful scenery on the Tianmen mountain, which is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie City.

After the sightseeing, your guide and driver will transport you to the Zhangjiajie Airport. You will take flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, the local guide will meet you and help you check in the hotel in downtown.

This morning, Your local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will visit one of the four largest museums in China, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times.
Yu Garden
Then, come to the Yu Garden - one of the attractions that you cannot miss in Shanghai. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Later, we will leave you some time at the nearby Yu bazaar.
The Bund
After that, stroll along the thriving Bund area and then take a one-hour cruise tour on the Huangpu River.

China Tour, leg 2: Xi'an + Terracotta Warriors

5.00Day 4 - departed Beijing via bullet train to Xi'an, a region which experienced 13 Dynasties in its long history. The funeral tribute to Emperor Qin Shi Huang - first Emperor (259 - 206BC), discovered by local farmers (we met one of the original four men) and saw 3 open pits of relics including Warriors, horses and other artefacts. Later we moulded a clay warrior, with an artisan's help to perfect our creations, which we could take home. Then on to an ancient (& still occupied) Buddhist monastery, The Wild Goose Pagoda & gardens. That evening we were entertained at a splendid dining theatre with historic musicians & dancers in vivid, colourful performances. Next day we climbed Xian's fortress wall, divinding the ancient Muslim quarter from the modern growing city outside. We strolled through gorgeous Penjing-styled monastery gardens and admired the ancient Pagodas. A master Tai Chi instructor led a class for several tourist groups, beneath the fortress wall, overlooking yet more beautful civic gardens, designed for the health & fitness of local citizens. We had opportunity to select our own menu choices from a market restaurant; yet more plentiful, fresh and delicious local cuisine. That evening we boarded a smooth internal flight to the next town; Wulinyuan (home of the Zhangjiajie National Forst Park). We thoroughly enjoyed leg 2 of our 11 day China tour!
History, art and nature - perfect combination

5.00A wonderful trip organized by TCG that allowed us to see so much, from history, art and performances, beautiful gardens, and a bit of everyday Chinese life in just 11 days. A trip that was made effortless by the TCG staff, starting with Wendy who quickly answered all our questions and fulfilled all our requests. And I would especially like to thank our dear "follow Kitty" and Jolin who were exceptional, and whom we will certainly not forget.

5.00Amazing - the tour company organised everything very well indeed - hotels, pickup, guides, internal transport - it was all smooth - the booking was v smooth as well - they answered questions very clearly and promptly - my consultant Kina Lu did a great job - she sorted out a mix up super efficiently on my first pickup at Beijing which was my fault about not informing them of a change in my incoming flight. Definitely recommend them.

5.00A very successful stay in China, which fully met our expectations. Preparations for the trip began several months in advance. Thanks to our travel consultant Kina Lu, everything was under control – from the beginning of the preparations to the very end of the trip. I appreciate Kina's involvement. I was in constant contact with Kina and was able to update on all matters related to the trip. A local guide took care of us at every stage of the trip. Two places exceeded our expectations: a visit to The Tang Dynasty Xi'an and our entire stay in the mountains in Zhangjiajie. Incredible experiences.

5.00My original plan was to visit China's golden triangle cities but then I heard about Zhangjiajie and ended up finding this tour. It checked all the boxes for the places I wanted to visit but I got to do even more, it was the perfect combination! So much to do in Beijing with an amazing day at the great wall, then in Xian we were able to inmerse more in the local activities, Zhangjaijie was a great change of scenery, since were able to enjoy nature and finally the spectacular Shanghai at night. I was able to see and learn so much on every city. Linda in Beijing was very knowledgeable and fun, she also made sure we always go at the perfect time to avoid most of the crowds. Jason In Zhangjiajie was awesome, staying with us the whole time and showing us the best spots around the national park. This tour included great hotels and I liked that for the meals included, Linda and Jason picked items from the menu for us so we could have a little bit of everything and something typical from the city, it was always enough food for everyone and we had a diverse selection for everyone's preference. Glad we didnt have to figure out what to order every time. In Xian, our tour guide, Tracy was easy to understand and very knowledgeable as well. For the meal in Xian, we were given the option to select our own plates but our table decided to to share like we have been doing so we asked Tracy for help and got great recommendations! This was a dream come true and I am recommending this tour company since everything was well planned and there was no time wasted!

5.00The tour company did exactly what they promised. Promptly picked us up at PEK and took us to a wonderful hotel. Started in Beijing and saw the Forbidden City and other highlights. Next stop was Xian and Lily, our guide was exceptional. Very good English speaker and so knowledgeable about history. Saw the Terra Cotta Warriors. Next was Zhiang Jia je, which I think was the highlight of the tour. Seeing the National Park and seeing the mountains was so beautiful. Sonny, our guide was great and so funny! He was such a delight. Last stop was Shanghai and we were mesmerized at the sheer size. Great trip and the hotels that we stayed at were very nice! I would definitely recommend this tour. Warning: lots of walking required but it was worth it!

Trip to beijing was fantastic. our guide candy made our trip very memorable. she was thorough with her subject. as a person very friendly, accommodative. our whole team had a good rapport with her. full marks to candy and travel china tours. She made all effort to provide us with vegetarian food.
