We did this itinerary in 13 days and had a great time - a real adventure. Our guide (Roger) was an excellent driver (needed on the atrocious roads), very professional and knowledgeable on Madagascar wildlife. The Fosa office staff were helpful and efficient. The hotels were good - its not a luxury tour by some standards but very comfortable. The only downside were the long drives between attractions - if you're short on time (and long on cash) then consider flying one way (i.e. Morondava back to Antananarivo). Its fun to see the countryside and the locals going about their business along the road but there are some long days in the car. In the more remote areas the kids collect empty water bottles to so keep these in the car to hand out. Money - most (but not all) hotels took credit cards but often only Visa! Can only exchange major currency - not AUD - at currency exchange. Bring EURO or USD or use ATMto obtain cash. Tourist Visa - a 2 week tourist visa costs US$20, credit card accepted but cash is quicker - USD

The itinerary for the 11 days tour of unique Madagascar is very good with the necessary variety which can be offered by this wonderful exotic big red island. We enjoyed a lot the lemurs, the baobabs and the tsingys. The accomodation is well selected and the guide (Antsa) was very good as he had to be and help us a lot. He was kind and gave a lot of information. The only thing maybe could improve the tour is the choice to come back from Morodava to Tana by plane because the route is big and tiring and it is double in the programme. But even that for people who enjoy not only the destination but also the trip is a great chance to meet people, lands which are really unique.
