This tour is perfect for beginners/first tour on the island or if you only want to spent some few hours on a road bike. and you will get a sense of what i would say to climb a real mountain or how hard 5-15% steep short segments feels like.
From Puerto de la Cruz.we will start our 7 km climb untill the Humboldt Observatory plateau, where there is a marvellous view over the valley, PDC and the Atlantic ocean. After that we pass thru the old part of Orotava village and cross the Orotava valley, before we have 5 km climb up to another spectacular viewpoint. From there we will head back to La Orotava and PDC
In total it's a 45km ride and 1000mt ascent.
BIKE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.
Our guide will contact you and will give you options for bike, pedals, sizes etc.

5.00A fantastic tour with our guide Rob. Incredibly beautiful cycling along the sea, car-free roads and the electric bikes helped on the slopes. Rob is a great guide who showed us many sights and let us take the time we needed. A memory for life. Will definitely come back.

5.00I had originally booked the ride with a road bike, but quickly realised on the day that I was going to be more confortable with a mountain/hybrid bike (as that's what I am used to), so I was able to switch. We took off, then shortly afterward returned to switch to an e-bike! It was a bit embarassing, but I just didn't have the fitness to handle to steep climbs around Puerto de la Cruz these days. Jesper was cool about it and we restarted the trip on e-bikes. It was a great day for the ride and the views rewarded the effort. Tip: if you aren't accustomed to hill climbing, then strongly consider an e-bike.

5.00We booked a day trip from Puerto to Punto Teno. It was a great cycle trip along the coast with Jesper our guide. Amazing views in an unspoiled area. We were very glad we had an e-bike as the road was quite undulating. We had a great stop in a small cafe in Buenavista and great views at the Punta Teno Lighthouse. Highly recommended !

5.00I'm not a very strong hill rider but Jesper stayed with me and chatted, giving me pointers on up and downhills. The route was beautiful and the roads are so smooth it's almost addictive. Next time, we climb even more!

5.00Chose this company because of the email correspondence before we left home. Answered all our quesrltion quickly and accurately. On arrive they were very friendly. We chose the half day ride warning wifey was slow up hill. Alberto was our guide and did a great job looking after her. At the same time giving us information about the island. He was very cautious about safety information about the downhills, you could feel his panic when he realised we're both descenders. The bikes were capable of any assents/decents thrown at them. Day 2 I went up the volcano without wifey. I used a lower spec bike than day 1, it was a little heavier but I actually found it really comfortable. Would I use them again... you bet I would, very enthusiastic. Pretty sure they can cater for several languages between them.

5.00We talked about a few route options in the shop then decided to do this one. The cycling was really nice. Some of the great things about using a guide are that 1) you don't get lost, 2) seeking out the best tarmac, and 3) local knowledge on where the Danish pastry shops are. Tenerife can be really hilly. As we were a group of mixed fitness we did this ride on a mixture of road bikes and e-bikes - so it was great that they are all available for hire and we could all ride together and all get a decent workout. 5/5 would use again.
