This day of the tour will be dedicated to a guided walking tour in the Tbilisi city centre. Guests will be able to walk through the old town of Tbilisi learn about its influential history, culture and the architecture dating back to 1500 years ago.

On the third day of the tour, guests will leave Tbilisi to head to Svaneti region on a mini bus. The journey on that day will take nearly 8 hours from Tbilisi to Etseri village in Svaneti region. Etseri is a beautiful village situated within 60 km from Mestia, main town of Svaneti. You will stay there overnight in a local guesthouse.

early in the following morning you will begin the trek with an experienced trekking guide. You will walk from Etseri village to the village of Mazeri in Becho gorge. The walk will take approximately 7 hours (including break stops). Guests will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Mazeri village.

On this day guests will trek from Mazeri village to the town of Mestia. This will be the toughest trek of this tour owing to the fact that tourists will have to get from 1400 meters above the sea level to nearly 3000 meters on the Guli pass and then descend from there to the town of Mestia, which is nearly 1500 meters above the sea level. The walk on this day will take from 10-12 hours depending on the fitness level of the trekkers.Guests will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Mestia.

Owing to the fact that Mazeri - Mestia is a difficult trek the sixth day of the tour will be free and on that day guests will have time to relax and enjoy some local museums and sightseeing around Mestia.

Seventh day of the tour is reserved for the third hike from the town of Mestia to a village called Jhabeshi. This is a fairly easy hike lasting several hours and resulting in a stay at a local guesthouse in the village, at the foothills of mount Tetnuldi. The length of the trek is 16 km and during the trek guests will get from 1400 meters above the sea level to 2160 meters and then descend down to 1640 meters to the village of Jhabeshi where they will have a dinner as well.

On the eighth day, guests will hike from Jhabeshi to Adishi village. The hike is nearly of the same difficulty as one on the previous day. Total length equals to 11 km and you will have to walk from 1640 meters above the sea level 900 meters up and 500 meters down to Adishi village. Adishi is one of the most beautiful remote villages of Svaneti region. There you will stay at a local guesthouse and will try some local food specialties prepared by the local family.

Ushguli Ethnographic Museum

On this day of the tour guests will trek from Adishi village first to Iprali. The length of the trek equals to 19 km. Adishi is located 2000 meters above the sea level and in order to reach Iprali village guests will have to walk 700 meters up and decend 830 meters down to Iprali village. There they will be picked up by an Suv and will be transported to Unesco World Heritage site named Ushguli which is the second highest populated village in Europe at the altitude of 2200 meters.

On this day guests will hike from Ushguli village to Skhara glacier. Shkhara is the highest mountain peak in the whole country and one of the most beautiful ones. Skhara in the local Svan language means nine and describes the mountain range which consists of nine gorgeous mountain peaks. Guests will hike to the glacier, see the birthplace of the mighty and roaring river Enguri and then will decend back to the village. The hike will last totally for 6 hours.

On this day guests will be picked up with Suvs in Ushguli and will leave for Mestia. The journey will take two hours. On this day they will hike to Challadi glacier near Mestia which is a very easy hike and after that will check in at the guesthouse. This day will be a chilled one and guests can spend their free time as they would like to.

This day will be dedicated for a transfer from Mestia either to Tbilisi, Batumi or Kutaisi. It depends on where the guests have flight from. Our recommendation is to take flight either from Kutaisi or Batumi owing to the fact that these cities are not so far from Mestia. If guests would like to get an accommodation on this day they will have to pay for the accommodation in Batumi, Kutaisi or Tbilisi separately.
