The conservancy has a variety of habitats including thick scrub, marshlands, rivers and open plains. Ol Pejeta is committed to conservation and has a number of projects to protect endangered species, including white and black rhino. They also have a Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary which is home to primates who have been rescued from abusive or captive situations. We had two great guides. The name of our main guide was Davide and he was able to show us every member of the Big Five and further highlights of the African Savannah like cheetahs and even a caracal! Our higlights on the trip included the famous cheetah brothers with a kill, mating lions, "the special five" in Samburu and the Elephants of Amboseli with the Kilimanjaro in the background! We travelled to during Covid - nevertheless everything was perfectly organized and we had no disadvantages at all! Our second guide was Kenneth, who was a young graduate - even with a university degree. Accordingly, his knowledge was very impressive and interesting.

My husband and I did the 12 day safari. Our guide Paul Ovolemi was amazing! He was very kind and friendly, his knowledge of Kenya and all the wildlife was incredible, he would always get us up close to see the wildlife, he was a well experienced guide and driver. He would always go above and beyond to make sure we didn't miss a thing. He was very patient with us when we sometimes wanted to stay longer to view the amazing wildlife and beautiful landscapes. He made sure we got to see the Big 5 and much more. We had such a great time with Paul that we missed his friendship when we came home. We would love to do another safari and will definitely have Paul as our guide. Thank you Paul for making our safari the best vacation we ever had!
