• Beautiful! But be aware of hidden costs

  Great experience hiking in the Colca Canyon with Guide Carlos! I had no expectations going into this hike, but it was beautiful- at times difficult on the lungs/ knees, but really worth it to see the oasis at the bottom. Carlos explained a lot about the history of the location and was always reassuring us about time and distance and pace. If take a few extra snacks because the breakfast on the second day comes after 6km hike and a lot of people in our group were hungry. Also, check the price of the trip- a lot of people in our group paid very different prices for the hike- you can book it in the Plaza de Armas/ hostels in Arequipa for between 210-250 soles, not including the 70 for entrance to park, 15 for thermal pools and 45 for buffet on second day (don’t pay on GetYourGuide/ online because it becomes very expensive). The thermal pools were a great end to the day! Thank you Carlos for your support throughout the two days!

  2 incredible days, surprises with every step! We leave with memories full of mind! The meals were excellent and local! The organization at the top And above all a big thank you to the guide Alex, who taught us a lot, he was very attentive!

  It was a wonderful experience! Carlos was the best. He always gave us support and told us about lots of Incas' traditions and trees and plants that you find on the way. He always cared about the group. He told us that his groups are always safe under the proctection of Pachamama, nature's main goddess. The hicke is really really though you need to be prepared but I couldn't do that without Carlos's support, we was always cheering me up. The views are really really breath taking. I highly recomend. After the hicke we went to hot spring, it was amazing. We tasted wonderful local food. Also we had the opportunity to be with alpacas feed and touch them, so so cute. I made new good friends too. It was fantastic, above my expectations! Don't think twice just go with out legs strong! PS Don't forget to take with you suncream, swim bath, enough water, some money (because you can buy more water one the way there are points where you can buy), a light towel, shampoo and paper toilet (since there are no in the room, unless you have to buy there).

  I’m very glad that I chose the right company to go on the Colca Canyon tour. The time arrangement is perfect. Everything is on schedule. Food is ample and delicious. What made the trip exceptionally impressive is our guide Franco Stev. He speaks very good English and always takes time to explain local cultures to us. He’s very responsible and takes very good care of us. I highly recommend Franco Stev if you go to the Colca Canyon. Gracias!

  Amazing and unique experience hiking 2 days in the Colca Canyon! Our guide was Tonny. He was very funny, brought a good atmosphere to the group and was very knowledgeable about the area. The hike on the first day was mostly going down, the next day we had to go back up (more than 1,000m). It was quite tough, but the views were beautiful, so definitely worth it!   This was a great experience, a stress free tour due to our great tour guide Tonny, in which I would like to call a friend. He made me and my partner feel at ease and was very informative during the whole two days. Couldn’t ask for a better guide.   Wonderful experience; very well organized, incredible landscapes, very rich and local food... the beautiful oasis also and the icing on the cake was our guide Fidel who accompanied us along the way teaching us very interesting things; very good vibes and very professional An experience to repeat without a doubt The only thing to keep in mind towels and toilet paper for the oasis.
