Amboseli National Park is an international biosphere reserve with a huge ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya border. The park has an endless supply of water filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli, in Maasai, means "Place of Water". At 7:00 am, we will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or residence. We will then depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi–Mombasa road. The morning drive is through typical African savanna country, dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Arrive at the Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. Take a midday rest and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game viewing drive. We shall be in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches, and many others. The mountain dominates the skyline and surrounding countryside. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Mount Kilimanjaro with its snow-capped peak shall dominate the background while we marvel at the wildlife and scenery—weather permitting.

You will start the day with an early morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. You will then check out and depart Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, area of residence, or the airport for your flight to your next destination. This is where your safari will end.

5.00My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a luxury safari in Amboseli National Park, and it was an amazing experience. Our stay at the Serena Safari Lodge was excellent, with outstanding service, authentic culture-aware design themes and incredible views of the surrounding landscape. The highlight of the trip was our guide, Felix, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication made the trip special. He worked tirelessly to position us for amazing wildlife sightings, including memorable views of both cheetahs and even a lion - as difficult as they are to spot! We also loved visiting a traditional Maasai homestead, which provided a unique cultural experience and a deeper appreciation for Kenyan heritage and traditions. The hot air balloon safari was an expensive add-on, but well worth considering for those seeking a truly unique experience. Watching the Kenyan wilderness come to life from above at sunrise was something we'll never forget. Overall, this was the perfect anniversary trip, combining luxury, adventure, wildlife, and culture. Highly recommended!
