At the Jodensavanne tour you will get to know more about the history of how the Jewish culture came to exist in Suriname. You will see the old ruins of the synagogue and the old cemetery that are still there. You will learn about the other plantations in the area.
Besides the Jodensavanne itself you will drive past several Indigenous villages and get to know a little bit more about them.
After the visit at Jodensavanne we will drive to Overbridge Resort for lunch and overnight stay. The rest of the day you are free to fill in how you like, you can have a swim in the Suriname river or just relax in you cabana.

Jodensavanne
At 9.00 am we depart from Paramaribo to Jodensavanne. We will pass several indigenous villages and will make a stop at Carolina. Here we will cross the river to Jodensavanne. Here the guide will show you around this former plantation and visit the old cemetery and the ruins of the oldest Jewish synagogue. After the information that the guide has given you, we will drive to Overbridge.
After Jodensavanne we will drive to Overbridge where we will spent 1 night in a cabana. When we arrive an lunch awaits us and after lunch we can check in into the cabanas. The rest of the afternoon you are free and fill in how you like it. At the resort you are able to swim in the river or in the pool are just relax in your room. The guide will also entertain you with stories and games.
