Peles Castle is closed on Mondays year-round and on Tuesdays. If your tour is booked within this period then you will see Peles Castle from the outside

Tour Guide will set departure point for 2nd day in the central part of Sighisoara.
We do not provide pick-up or drop off service.
The order of the itinerary depends on the season, weather, and opening hours. Unforseen events (weather, special events, traffic, etc) may result in a visit only on outside of one castle. Delays in arrival time to Bucharest may occur also due to these uncontrollable factors.
For independent booking of castle tickets, we advise to check the itinerary. Precise timings cannot be provided. We do not offer assistance.

What To Expect
Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov - Sighisoara
Triumph Arch (Arcul de Triumf)
On the first day you will be picked up from Bucharest and we will drive towards the beautiful Prahova Valley.
Peles Castle
Our first stop will be at the imposing and magnificent palace of Peles. Built by the royal family of Romania during the 19th century, this palace offers an insight of 19th century German Renaissance style of decorations.
Bran Castle
The next stop will be in Bran Castle, known also as Dracula’s Castle. The imposing construction watches over a valley from a strategic position, it was originally built as a fortress at the former border between Wallachia and Transylvania. Together we shall discover the connection between the legendary ruler, Vlad the Impaler, and the infamous vampire.
Brasov Historical Center
In the afternoon we will head to the city of Brasov, a city that retains its medieval charm with the help of its well kept historical center. Our walking tour of this lovely town starts from the main square from where we shall admire the old City Hall with its clock tower, the monumental Gothic Black Church, the fortifications, the two watch towers up the hill, the craftsmen guilds and the narrowest street in Europe.
Centrul Istoric Sighisoara
In the evening sets in we will reach Sighisoara, where you will be accommodated.
Sighisoara - Sibiu - Bucharest
Centrul Istoric Sighisoara
After breakfast, we will go on a walking tour of the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, one of the very few permanently inhabited citadels in Europe. This is also the birthplace of the legendary Vlad Dracula, whose house we will see, after which we will climb to the top of the 500 year old clock tower for a fantastic view over the town.
Sibiu Travel
Next stop will be Sibiu, also known as Hermannstadt. This is the heart of the German community living in Romania, the German Saxons having lived here for over 800 years. A former European capital of culture, Sibiu boasts many great sights from medieval times when it was a citadel: the Great Square, the Brukenthal Museum and an infamous Bridge of Lies. Afterwards, we drive along the spectacular Olt river valley going back to Bucharest.

5.00The best way to see Transylvania in a couple of days. Our driver/guide, George, was on time, knowledgeable, courteous and most accommodating. As roads are limited, time is sparse, and in smaller villages in rural Romania not everyone speaks English, this option is the best value for what you can see and experience. George incorporated sites that were important to us, like the bear sanctuary, where big tour buses do not go. With George’s translation and in-depth knowledge of the countryside, we were able to get the most fulfilling experience for the two days that we had in Romania. Highly recommended. Ask for George.

5.00Alex, our tour guide, was wonderful. From speaking excellent English, to being very patient, timely & knowledgable about all our questions on Romania. He was easy going & a safe driver. He gave us ample time in each location. We were quite lucky for a # of reasons: we were the only 2 on the tour, we went in December during the Christmas (market) season & the weather was cold (as expected), but great. No rain. And very few lines anywhere for the castles, etc. We would definitely recommend this tour! Thank you, Alex! Our favorite tour in the 3&1/2 wks traveling in the Balkans & Eastern Europe.

5.00We booked the 2 Day Medieval Transylvania Tour with Brasov, Sibiu, and Sighisoara from Bucharest and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide Emanuel was the best. He was knowledgeable, intuitive, and always perfectly timed with every stop. You can tell he truly loves what he does and it made the entire experience feel seamless and full of history. The tour is a small group experience which we loved. Note that the tour needs at least four people. We only had two, so we paid for the extra seats. It ended up turning our trip into a private tour and honestly it was the best case scenario. It was still way more affordable than booking a private tour on its own and absolutely worth it. The itinerary was well paced, the sights were unforgettable, and the journey through Transylvania felt like stepping into a real life medieval story. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Romania. And if you get Emanuel as your guide you are in for something special.

1.00Book with this company at your own risk! I booked the two 2 day tour over 2 months ago and paid in full at the time. As the overnight accommodation in Sighisoara is not included, a non- refundable hotel booking was made. I attempted on 3 occasions to communicate with the tour operator regarding timings of the itinerary, so I could book castle tickets in advance and avoid queues on the day — not a single reply. 12 hours before the tour was to begin I received notification that One Excellence cancelled the tour no reason; no communication directly from the tour operator.— just a message from Viator When requesting the operator cover the expense of the accommodation, they only reply that that they are unable to communicate directly with me because it was booked through Viator. Viator states my only recourse is either the tour operator. So no one taking any accountability.

He was fantastic in every way, very knowledgeable and skilled , fully engaged and helpful. Every question we throw at him, no problem.
