Depart from your beach hotel in Mombasa and travel to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Enjoy a game drive along the way. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge, have lunch and relax for a while. Then, head out for a game drive in the sanctuary to search for lions and other wildlife until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge. This lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavels sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife.

Herbert Santa is a very reliable guide. He has organized everything individually to our satisfaction and has responded to our wishes. We had a great safari and saw a lot of animals up close.

This was the most amazing experience. Not only experiencing seeing animals in the wild, the amazing accomodation, food and service, but our incredible guide (Benjamin) was outstanding. Could not recommend this trip with Benjamin more highly (the van was a little older than others, but entirely comfortable and did the job!). Thank you Benjamin for your five star customer service, knowledge about the country and animals, ability to find them and your warmth and laughter. We will be back.
