Our trip started with a lovely overnight at Angie’s cottage. What an amazing view and wonderful hospitality. The next day we got up with our professional guide who drove us up Sani pass… Thank goodness for that! He took care of all the custom needs going into a different country. We even stopped at a beautiful overlook for coffee and treats that were homemade by Angie. So yummy! When we got into Lesotho, we drove around to see different areas of this beautiful and unique country. We were treated to some special surprises which included traditional dancers and singers, amazing meals, and some sightseeing. We also chose to go on a horseback ride. It was a beautiful ride and we truly enjoyed it. That night we spent the night with one of the local villagers, and the hospitality was so precious. Our hostess took very good care of us. We spent the night in a traditional hut, played soccer with one of the local boys, got up the next morning went for a hike, then headed up to the highest pub in Africa for lunch. Heads up… Understand the weather can be quite chilly depending on the time of year. Make sure you are prepared. The traditional huts don’t have electricity, running water or indoor facilities. This is a true experience and worth every bit of it, but it’s not for those who can’t go without the luxuries that some of us are used to. It was an experience my sister and I will not soon forget.

Greg treated us to an unforgettable journey into an awe-inspiring nation, not yet tainted by modernization. As Greg navigated through the treacherous terrain of Sani Pass, we continually marveled at spectacular vistas. While touring, Greg's shared knowledge of Lesotho and its culture helped to captivate its uniqueness and charm. We will be forever grateful to Greg and Angie (her picnic lunches were absolutely scrumptious!) for introducing us to another one of God's most beautiful creations!
