Isla del Sol

Early pick-up from La Paz for a scenic minivan ride across the Altiplano to Lake Titicaca. Enjoy stops along the way to take in the views of the sapphire-blue lake and snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Real. Arrive in Copacabana around noon for a short town tour, including the famous Cathedral, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride to Isla del Sol (approx. 1.5 hrs.). Upon arrival, explore the Pilcocaina ruins, an ancient Incan temple with historical significance and stunning views. Then, take a short hike to the island's summit for panoramic views of the lake and mountains. End the day with a serene sunset and a peaceful evening at your accommodation. Accommodation Options Basic: Simple room in a local lodge with private room and bathroom. Standard: Comfortable lodge with private room, bathroom, and hot shower. Plus: Private cabin at Ecolodge La Estancia with private bathroom, hot shower, and meals onsite.

Isla del Sol

Start the day with a moderate hike to the highest viewpoint in the southern part of the island for breathtaking views of the lake and the Andes. Next, visit the village of Yumani, where you can engage in an optional cultural activity hosted by a local family. Learn about traditional life, music, agriculture, and colorful customs (must be booked in advance). The morning continues with a descent down the Inca Stairway and a visit to the Fountain of Youth. Enjoy lunch with a view before boarding the return boat to Copacabana (approx. 1.5 hrs.). Afterward, drive back to La Paz, arriving between 6 and 8 PM, depending on traffic. We'll drop you off at your accommodation or a selected location (excluding the “Zona Sur”).
