Join this tour along Iceland's south coast to discover its stunning glaciers, lava fields, volcanoes, strong rivers and waterfalls. You will also see an amazing black beach scattered with icebergs, next to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice cold water and seals swim around them.
The highlights of the tour are a boat tour in Jokulsarlon the glacier lagoon in front of the biggest glacier in Europe which is located in the most amazing National park in Iceland AND a walk on blue ice in Solheimajokull. Our glacier guides are professionals and they will provide you all safety equipment needed for the Glacier Hike (crampons, ice axes, etc) and teach you how to use them in a correct way.
The scenery and views from the Glacier is stunning and you see ice sculptures and the deep crevasses of the glacier in a very clear way.

Overnight on the South Coast
Hveragerdi
A town famous for the greenhouses and the “Hot River” of Reykjadalur, sitting in a rift valley between the two continental plates of Eurasia and America.
Selfoss
Selfoss is the largest town and the capital of South Iceland
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
You’ll be able to experience this waterfall right up close as it crashes off the side of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano from a height of 60 meters. The path leading through the cave behind the fall will deliver one of the most spectacular sights in Iceland
Gljufrabui Waterfalls
A hidden waterfall, which most visitors miss. We’ll tell you where to find it!
Volcano Eyjafjallajokull
Remember to ask your guide all about the colossal eruption here back in 2010, which made Iceland famous all around the world!
Skogafoss
Skogafoss is one of the most iconic waterfalls in the world, and even featured in “Game of Thrones”. Because of its south-facing position, it is often covered in rainbows as the 60-meter cascade of water produces a lot of spray! Skogafoss is one of the most popular sights in the country and it’s possible to climb to the top of the falls to see it from there too.
Solheimajokull Glacier
Solheimajokull is part of one of the largest glaciers in the country, Myrdalsjokull. Here we will take on an unforgettable glacier hike, with all the necessary safety equipment provided. Enjoy the raw views while you step on the ice under care of our experienced glacier guide.
Dyrholaey
The stone sea arches of Dyrholaey can also be seen in the distance from Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Reynisfjara Beach
It is now time to visit the world-famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, where beautifully-shaped basalt columns hug the cliffs, volcanic sands are pounded by powerful Atlantic waves and the starkly shaped sea stacks of the Reynisdrangar tower just offshore.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast
Vik
The second day starts with short stop in Vík Village that offers stunning views over Black Sand Beach and hills surrounding this small settlement
Eldhraun Lava Field
A barren and desolate wasteland filled with moss-covered lava formations.
Fjadrargljufur Canyon
The river canyon at Fjadrargljufur is an astonishing place, a winding green gorge about a hundred meters deep and nearly two kilometres long. Canyon got its attention after being featured in a Justin Bieber music video
Hofskirkja Church
Hofskirkja was the last church of this type to be built in Iceland, dating back to the 19th century. Deep layers of turf make up the roof of the church here, which is also surrounded by moss-covered burial mounds
Glacier Lagoon
Jokulsarlon truly is an extraordinary place, a bucket-list location featured in several Hollywood movies, but also very peaceful and tranquil too. The scenery is stunning, and always changing too, as wind and tides pull the icebergs in different directions all the time. Here you will take a 45-minute amphibious boat tour among the bergs, getting up close to these icy giants and maybe even seeing a seal or two as well.
Fellsfjara
Just a few hundred yards away from the Glacier Lagoon you will see the Diamond Beach, that gets its name from the countless sparkling fragments of multi-colored icebergs found here. They are slowly being sculpted into fantastic shapes by the wind and the waves on this black sand Atlantic beach.

Monika made our South Coast day truly unforgettable! She’s an energetic and warm guide who kept the whole bus engaged with fantastic stories, clear explanations, and lots of great music. She mixes storytelling and music like a professional DJ. She shared Viking legends about high-seat chairs and how settlers chose their land, explained how Iceland’s forests have changed dramatically over time, and gave a fascinating breakdown of the two rivers with different colors and densities. Her take on Icelandic food culture was brilliant — especially the deep dive into skyr: how thick it is (bowl upside-down test!), how it takes 4 liters of milk per kilo, and the old vs. new ways to enjoy it. She made sure we tried it at the first stop! The cultural touches were lovely: she described the classic Icelandic dating progression (ice cream date → hiking date → dinner) and played a romantic song by Brynja (Iceland’s Lady Gaga) about a hiking date with views over Reykjavík. She shared plenty of Icelandic music throughout the drive, which really set the mood. Monika was attentive and caring — she quickly adjusted the heating when the bus felt chilly and checked if everyone was comfortable. She also gave a calm, reassuring update when asked about volcanic activity. If you’re booking a South Coast tour, ask for Monika. She turns the drive into a fun, informative, and very Icelandic experience with the perfect soundtrack. Highly recommended! 😊

Amazing 2 day South Coast Winter tour. All well organised. So nice of the company to provide microspikes that were so helpful in visiting all the icy locations at ease. And Collin our guide was very good. He conducted entire tour at a very relaxed pace, with lots of very interesting info about all sightseeing locations, especially glaciers. I learnt so much about galciology from listening to him. He also went extra mile to recommend short hikes around viewpoints. His interest came through in his guiding and that made the overall experience very memorable.

This 2-day tour was guided by Torri, who told a lot about Iceland along the way, was also interesting and left plenty of time for each attraction. In short, it's a wonderful memory!

We were promptly picked up from the pre agreed bus stop. On our way to the south it was raining and very windy but JK was a really good driver and guide. He gave us info and backgrounds on the spots in the itinerary. He made the long trip very interesting and enjoyable. Great guy! The hotel we stayed in was quite nice. Food was great! The hike to the caves was easily manageable- i have bad knees and we hiked with a kid Lucas. Our guide for the caves was a cool dude. He made sure we had enough time to take everything in.

Absolutely the best tour company. Our tour guide Thorey had great positive vibes. She was fun and informative on history, culture, and of course the sites themselves. The office was responsive and accommodating. This is a safe and comfortable way to see Southern Iceland and its awe inspiring nature.

It was a wonderful experience with a friendly guide who even took us to extra places because we had a little extra time. Tor, the guide, explained so many interesting things to us, and the places he took us to left us amazed. It's an experience worth trying because it's unique.

Our guide was Gulli and he was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. He had a great playlist too. He also made extra stops as time allowed at places not on the itinerary. The first day our weather was rainy and cloudy but day two was perfection. Gulli has no control over the weather but he made sure to watch the forecast and adjust timing when possible. People should know that hiking boots are required for this tour to so the glacier hike/ice cave - you can rent them from Nice Travel. We only had 3.5 days in Iceland and I struggled with whether or not to use two of them on a tour but I’m really glad I did. Do not hesitate to use this company!
