Tarangire National Park

Pickup from the hotel early in the morning (around 8:30 am) and start our safari - transfer to Tarangire national park. This is one of the best kept secret’s of north circuit. The park covers an area of 2,850 sq km and it offers some unique and diverse landscapes. The permanent presence of water in the area makes it a good choice especially during the dry season (June - Oct, Dec - Feb) as plenty of wild animals migrate here. The park is home for big baobab trees, big mammals and especially elephants, as long as other carnivores. Lunch inside the park and afternoon game drive. Evening transfer to the lodge

Very early in the morning, descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth. After a stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake, and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, drive up the steep road out of the crater and return to Arusha

Nickson was the best guide I could have asked for. He knows all the details, people, land, etc. to deliver the safari of your dreams! He was very accommodating and helped me live out a bucket list trip. I highly Recommend him and Mbuni Safaris to anyone looking to have the trip of a lifetime.

Nixon our driver and tour guide was awesome! Highly recommend. We have kept in touch and let everyone know about him. We saw so many animals and learned so much about them all. It’s a trip of a lifetime - you won’t regret it.

I cannot say enough about Mbuni Tours and our guide Nickson. I wanted to do a milestone birthday and make dreams of an African safari come true. A friend referred me to Nickson and Mbuni Tours and the process was so easy from there. Nickson listened to what I wanted to do and helped me to create a fantastic itinerary. Once I met him, my anxiety about planning the trip subsided. He met us at the airport and took us on an adventure. He was extremely knowledgeable about the parks, the wildlife, and Tanzania. At one point we were driving through grass off the road, and I thought, where is this going? Next thing I know there was an adult male lion sitting in the grass not 10 feet from us! This was one of many incredible moments on this trip. The accommodations that Nickson selected were amazing. We did everything from luxury tented camps to lodges inside and outside of the park. Nickson had so many lovely surprises throughout the trip- birthday cakes, local coffee beans, etc. He was also adaptable. One person in our party had trouble disconnecting and he had a bathroom stop along the way where we could get wi-fi, fresh coffee, and stretch our legs a bit. Nickson was a great guide that turned into a friend by the end of the trip. Someday I hope to bring more family members to experience Serengeti and will call Mbuni to plan another adventure with a bigger group.

We spent our honeymoon in Tanzania and we had the time of our lives. The experience itself was amazing and mesmerizing. The landscapes and wild life were mind blowing. But everything in this trip couldn't have been the same if we didn't have our great guide Nickson from Mbuni Tours. We were SO lucky having him, his professionalism and good mood always was there. He taught us many things about African culture and was always helpful.
