I transcribe below, comments I made directly to Araya, via WhatsApp: “Good night! We arrived from Salar de Uyuni and besides loving the tour, we have the satisfaction to congratulate the two professionals who accompanied us along our road. Julio was, shot, the best Guide we have had in several Trips (Brazil or Overseas), whose qualities if we were to cite we would be long indicating. Highly qualified professional, generous, concerned with the well-being of the customer, creative and there will... His partner, the driver Emílio makes the perfect duo, as he is always smiling, helping and collaborating for the success of the duo. Other tours were made in Atacama and our guides also showed knowledge and satisfaction in serving. We will still have three more day tours, but I leave our congratulations to the Araya team. Certainly, whenever possible, they will count on our indications.”

We did a 3 day private Tour with our amazing guide Eddy from the Chilean Border to the Salar de Uyuni. You notice right away that they have done theese tours for a long time because it was super well organized. We had a spacious 4w4 car and started at the bolovian side of the border, saw unbeliebably beautiful landscapes and took hundreds of spectacular photos. It really is one of the most beautiful landscapes we have ever seen, and we have travelled a lot before! The first day is spent in a very remote region, you can see Geysirs and lots of Wildlife (Vicuñas, Flamingos). The hotel of the first night is located at 4500m, in europe you would only expect a basic hut in the mountains but here we were served a 3 course dinner! I did get altidude sickness which resolved the next day when we descended do 3500 m. Some reviews stated that the hotel (Tayka del desierto) gets really could but that was definitely not the case at our stay, we felt cozy and warm during the night! The highlight was the Salar the Uyuni where Eddy took absolutely spectacular fotos of us. We saw them covered in Water which produced an otherworldly giant mirror effect. When we booked our flights we were unsure wether it would be a good idea to see the Salar in the rainy season, but to br honest we think it looks even better covered in Water (We saw dry salt flats in argentina for comparison). This was definitely one of the most special Places we ever saw, the memories of how beautiful Bolivia can be will stay with us!
