The adventure starts at 5:20 AM with boarding onto a comfortable boat. This scenic 1.15-hour journey will whisk you along the lush Pacific Coast towards Sirena. By 7:15 AM, you'll arrive at Sirena. Your knowledgeable guide will then lead you towards the station facilities. Once settled, feel free to deposit any excess luggage before embarking on an exciting exploration into the heart of the rainforest, armed with cameras and brimming with enthusiasm. Around 11:30 AM, you'll head back to the ranger station to check in and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. After lunch your guide will take you on a new journey during the afternoon, this captivating exploration will last for approximately 3 hours, concluding around 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. To conclude this unforgettable day, you'll gather with your guide and fellow adventurers for a delectable dinner at the station. This will provide the perfect opportunity to reminisce about the remarkable wildlife encounters you've experienced.

The adventure commences with a pre-dawn wake-up call around 5:00 AM. This capitalizes on the cooler morning temperatures, ideal for observing nocturnal and crepuscular rainforest inhabitants that become less active as the day heats up. Following a 2-2.5 hour hike, the group arrives at the station for a hearty breakfast at approximately 7:30 AM After breakfast, you'll have leisure time to relax and freshen up at the station. Refreshed and invigorated, you'll then delve back into the rainforest's embrace for a concluding hike lasting 2.5-3 hours. By midday, you will head back to the station for lunch and to pick up your belongings, after that we will walk back to the boat, the tour culminates with a scenic boat ride returning you to Puerto Jimenez, brimming with memories of your unforgettable rainforest exploration.

5.00I usually never write reviews because I’m honestly too lazy for that. But this time I have to, because our tour guide Ayder truly deserved it. From the very beginning he was super engaged and explained so much about the animals and plants around us. You always need a bit of luck to see a lot of wildlife, and we were definitely lucky. But Ayder made it possible for us to see even more thanks to his experience and his incredible hearing (we saw different monkey species, a tapir, coatis, a crocodile, an anteater, spiders, snakes, frogs and lots of special birds like eagles). At one point he was even showing other guides where the animals were, basically the guide for the guides. At one moment he just listened for a second, looked around and suddenly pointed at a tiny frog that you would normally never notice. And this was at night. It was honestly impressive. On top of that he was super friendly and funny and you can really tell he loves what he does. If you get the chance to take a tour with Ayder, do it. It’s totally worth it.

4.00Our guide (Jorge) was obviously very experienced. He explained to us the wildlife and the flora surrounding us. We were also quite lucky to observe various different animals (e.g. Tapir, ant eater, three species of monkeys) in their natural habitat. Only small negative was that while our own group comprised already 8 people, 2-3 other similar sized groups were in the park simultaneously, each following in the others' footsteps.

With the overnight stay it is like a wonderful school trip in your youth with a lot of great animals like the tapir , Aracari , Wood-Quail, Spider-Monkeys, Skull Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, White-nosed Nosed Bears etc. Our guide Erik did a great job and made wonderful cell phone recordings possible for everyone on his binoculars and we saw and learned a lot! Thank you so much!

5.00I‘ve seen many National Parks in Costa Rica, but Corcovado experience was very special: where else would you see a tapir, crossing the river? Or a group of approaching white-lipped peccaries clawing their teeth? I saw so many monkeys very very close - (the creatures are just beautiful), many wonderful birds and reptiles, and the forest with all its plants is amazing. Erick, our guide, was great, it was such a pleasure to explore the forest with him, I highly recommend him - he was attentive, friendly, professional and explained so many things about the plants and animals, it was super interesting. The ranger station has all facilities you might need, everything is simple but clean, and staff is very friendly. It was really nice little adventure and I would really love to come again.

5.00It was fantastic! Our tour guide Erik showed us so many wonderful animals like Tapirs, snakes, crocodiles, sloths, all four kind of Monkeys, wild pigs and of course a big number of birds. Erik saw a lot of animals we would have missed and explained us a lot. The night in the ranger station was a really good experience. Food and all was very good. Thank you so much, we will never forget this! Greets from Svenja and Uli from Germany :)
