ATTENTION EVERYONE! A LIAR AND A FRAUDSTER CALLED ALI AND OWNER OF VISIT MOGADISHU FORGOT A VISA FOR DJIBOUTI. (He made a fake visa) The story goes like this: I booked a trip to Somaliland, Somalia and Djibouti via WhatsApp. He said not to worry that he would handle all the invitation letters and visas. First, the program he sent me for the days was completely fake and when I arrived the guide in Somaliland told me that we couldn't go to half of the things, also to Djibouti, in Mogadishu he advised me not to go to the beach outside the city (because it's like a crowd) to which I said I wanted to go and not to worry about the crowd lol. Second, he said he applied for an e-visa for Djibouti and after a few days I asked him if the visa was approved, at first he ignored my messages, and after a few days he replied not to worry that it would be soon. It's been 8 days since I applied and I still haven't received my visa, he says he spoke to someone at immigration and they told him he'll send him a visa soon. 2 days before arriving in Djibouti he sent me an e-visa and said he'd print it out. When I landed, the police told me it was a fake visa, which made me break down and cry because I knew something was wrong with the visa, so they consoled me and told me to calm down, that I'd just pay for the visa upon arrival and that's it. He's lucky that I have that option with my passport. Plus they didn't tell me about the flight delay because they "didn't get" the information, "they don't have an email". He hasn't replied to my message to this day because he has no shame or dignity. I'm just waiting for him to get back at me for that, karma is a miracle. With love❤️

Planning to go to Somalia, make sure you use Visit Mogadishu. Ali and Omar were great hosts, they managed to accommodate our wishes, fishing was a first for them and a first for us, fishing in Somalia.

I had a great three days in Mogadishu. The agency has completely adapted to my needs and my flight schedule. The guides have been very friendly and attentive. The hotel is very basic, but the rooms are very clean and the food is fresh and delicious. And the most important thing: you feel there absolutely safe.

This was easily one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Kenya Airways failed on almost every level. The service was chaotic and unprofessional, with staff showing little interest in helping passengers or resolving issues. Communication during delays was practically nonexistent, leaving everyone confused and frustrated for hours. The food was extremely poor—low quality, unappetizing, and far below what you’d expect on an international flight. To make matters worse, my baggage was lost, and the follow-up support was slow and unhelpful, with no clear accountability. Overall, the entire experience felt disorganized, stressful, and poorly managed from start to finish. I would strongly advise others to think twice before flying with them.

Anunforgettable, breathtaking and definitely unique experience. Our tour guides Ali and Ahmed were outstanding and provided us with a lot of background history of Somalia.

Very well organized and well taken care of. And all the food and drinks were included. We even stopped for great cappuccinos a bunch of times. They really take care of you and give you a good sense of the city.

I had a short tour to Mogadishu in November with Visit Mogadishu. It all worked out very well. My guide Mr Ahmed was extremely helpful. Mogadishu is a complicated kind of place, so I was very glad to have an experienced guide who could safely navigate me through it all. The city is currently much safer than news reports sometimes make it sound, but it's still useful to have someone who knows where to go (or not go) and how to handle the various security checkpoints, especially if issues emerge. It was also great to get Mr Ahmed's perspectives on the city, and on perceptions vs realities. Visit Mogadishu handled all the paperwork for my Somali eVisa, which was a big help. All I needed to do was send them my passport scan and a photo and they handled the rest. I normally travel independently, but for Mogadishu, I am very glad I signed up with Visit Mogadishu.
