Start your journey with an early morning SGR train ride from Dar es Salaam, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. Upon arrival, continue to Mikumi National Park for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Start the day with an early morning game drive at 6:30 AM, the best time to spot wildlife. Enjoy up to 6 hours exploring Mikumi National Park and observing animals in their natural habitat. After lunch, begin your journey out of the park with an en-route game drive, offering more opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Later, transfer to the SGR station and travel back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening with a drop-off at your hotel.

The journey started from Dar es Salaam, and everything was smooth and well-organized from the moment I was picked up. A huge shoutout to Jimmy, our incredible guide—his knowledge of the park and wildlife was outstanding. He made sure we spotted elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and so much more. His energy, passion, and stories added so much to the experience! The accommodation inside the park was comfortable, and falling asleep to the sounds of nature was just magical. I couldn’t have asked for a better short escape into the wild. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a true taste of Tanzania’s beauty in just two days. 5.00This was my second time booking with Classic Wild Escapes, and once again, they exceeded all expectations! I was coming from Zanzibar, and their team was already waiting for me right at the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal — smooth, professional, and so welcoming. The 2-day, 1-night safari to Mikumi National Park was absolutely amazing. The journey was comfortable, and everything was perfectly arranged. We stayed in a luxury lodge inside the park, and the views, service, and atmosphere were just incredible. The wildlife sightings were out of this world — lions, elephants, giraffes, and so much more! This time, I brought along my work mates, and they were just as blown away as I was. Classic Wild Escapes truly knows how to deliver a first-class safari experience from start to finish. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore the wild beauty of Tanzania with a team that truly cares.

5.00First, a massive thank you to David and the team for leading an excellent safari in Mikumi National Park. I booked the 2-Day Safari trip. I was solo-traveling and looking for a safari experience within 3 days. Most companies had a 2-person minimum, but Classic Wild Escapes accommodated me by suggesting I take a train to Morogoro from Dar Es Salaam instead of driving directly. The communication and guidance (primarily via WhatsApp) were excellent and prompt. David was generous enough to provide a transfer to my hostel from the airport. Day 1 included about ~4-5 hours of travel (train + car). Even during the drive, you can spot animals—we saw elephants and baboons on the way. Once we arrived at the park entrance, David quickly took care of permits, and we were ready to go. The safari vehicle was customized with a roof that extends upward, allowing passengers to stand up—an EXCELLENT feature. Being able to stand during the drive lets you take in the fresh, crisp, and pure air of the park and offers an incredible wide-angle view of the majestic surroundings. The scenery is stunning. We saw packs of zebras, buffalo, giraffes, and warthogs commingling in the grasslands. Lions and elephants are rare, but our guide managed to locate them on both days. David ensured we took comfortable breaks for coffee and lunch. The accommodation was also excellent, with a private bathroom/shower and AC—perfect for unwinding after a day in the park. I’d recommend having some cash on hand ahead of time for any additional expenses. Booking with Classic Wild Escapes not only offers a top-notch experience but also helps support an up-and-coming owner who's committed to providing great service. I could go on and on, but it might exceed review limits. This is an experience you need to try for yourself, and I highly recommend Classic Wild Escapes for solo travelers, friends, or families. Choices of accommodation were rustic and perfect as according to our requests .
