Ruaha National Park is renowned for its excellent wildlife-sighting opportunities. Combined with the low numbers of visitors, this makes it a spectacular destination. Waterbuck, impala, and gazelle come to the river to drink and predators are never far behind. You may spot lion or leopard prowling watchfully along the banks, or cheetah lying in wait on the plains, while skulking jackal and hyena are on the lookout for an opportunity to catch their next meal.

What To Expect

Ruaha National Park

You will be picked from your Iringa hotel around 6 am drive to Ruaha National Park. You will find the park with its highlands forest, miombo woodlands, lowland Savannah with Acacia, and mixed woodland. But also you will find vast wetland and plains which are home to an enormous array of water birds. The park offers an excellent game viewing experience with buffalo, zebra, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, both greater and lesser kudu, and lots of elephants roaming near the Ruaha great river. Various predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena and so much more. Overnight at Ruaha park bandas (lunch, dinner, and breakfast)

My son and I went on a 2 day Ruaha national park safari. Zepisa organised every single detail of the trip with excellence. Sam, our driver did an excellent job driving safely to the park, spotting the animals, proving explanations. We spent the night at Asanja lodge. The view over the river is stunning. We were the only guests and received a lot of attention. Thank you Zepisa for such a wonderful short trip

We had a great safari in Tanzania that we booked through Zepisa African Safaris. There was no way we'd have thought of the incredible Ruaha without Nyemo's help. He was the only safari expert that actually listened to what we wanted and whilst not the cheapest we were very happy with the results.
Great experience, highly recommended!

I found Zepisa African Safaris on Tripadvisor and after reading all the reviews it was chosen as our tour operator for safari in Tanzania. We went through Ruaha National park and I never regret my choice. 1. While planning and getting ready for the trip you never wait for the answers, whenever you have a question Nyemo was always there with the answers, ideas and recommendations. 2. Very clear and very friendly cancellation policy (I checked it as well because you never know what covid brings 3. Unbelievable guide Gilbart who took care of us during our tour. Great sense of humour, outstanding English, knows everything about Tanzania, national parks and the animals. He is a great driver too, please believe me you need it there. Great people, great experience, highly recommended to anyone planning safari tours in beautiful Tanzania.

My wife and I booked a 2 days trip with Zepisa African Safaris and had an enjoyable time in Ruaha National park. They designed our trip to include all our desired locations and being a private safari Nyemo our guide concentrated his efforts on our wishes. We were pleased with the accommodation arrangements that Zepisa made for us. Nyemo showed different types of animals in the parks and also took us to visit a Maasai Boma in Tungamalenga village. We were truly impressed by our trip to Tanzania and thank Zepisa African safaris for putting everything together so well.
