What To Expect
Mont Saint-Michel
From the Information Centre, you will go to the Mont by free shuttle or on foot, depending on your choice. Your guided and told tour will last two hours through the cobbled streets of the village to the foot of the abbey. You will then know all the secrets of this unique site: the tides, the dam, the bay ecosystem, the entire history of the Mount, from its construction to today, its legends with an experienced guide who will make you love this place and will amuse you with funny and exciting anecdotes. At the end of your tour, the guide will give you the entrance ticket to the abbey, a place that will enhance your experience at the Mount, and avoid queuing at the ticket office.

5.00This tour gave us a nice overview of Mont Saint Michele and the history of the place. We also learned a bit about the water tides and how they affect the island. Tour was outside of the Abby them we explored the Abby by itself. It was an enjoyable and educational experience.

2.00We booked a visit in French and ended up in a group of Americans, claiming to be a sick person (but the reservation was accepted). Once there in the morning, no choice but to follow... 130 euros for some explanations quickly done in French at the pace of race, with two tickets to access the basilica, it is frankly limit. It's very, very expensive.

5.00Highly recommend this tour. While you can walk around on your own, you’ll miss out on the fabulous history of the island and Abbey. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Such a beautiful, historic site that everyone should visit when in France.
Good info but bad route

4.00The guide was very informative and had lots of knowledge to share. Be prepared for many steps up and then down and up again. The guide went the opposite way of the crowd to make it less congested but that meant we went up and down stairs multiple time that was not necessary. The guide would stop in empty spots to share info where there was nothing to look at and then walk many, many steps before taking a break. The information was great, ut the path he chose and the style of his tour was not very good in my opinion. Overall, it was still a good tour and a great place to visit!
