You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.
We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.
TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.
Children Under 5 will not be able to participate in the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What To Expect
Catalina Island
As you venture ten miles into the rugged interior, you will view the protected side of Catalina Island seldom seen by most visitors. Have the chance to encounter wildlife such as bison, deer, bald eagles, ravens, or even the Catalina Island fox. There is a photo opportunity around every turn as we climb to the Airport-in-the-Sky. At this stop, visit the Nature Center and peer down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee to the Catalina Island Conservancy directly supports the preservation of the animals, endangered species, and endemic plants on Catalina Island. Tours leave from The Cabrillo Mole. **we highly suggest you secure transportation to Catalina island prior to booking tour to confirm you can get to the tour as the boat to the island sells out quickly. Catalina Express or Newport Flyer for your transportation needs.

4.00Love the views. The excursion felt rushed. I know the permit only allows for so much time. The experience would have been so much better if more time was allowed for stops to get out and enjoy the view and more time at the airport. A viewing area of the south west side looking over the Pacific would have been spectacular. We enjoy learning about the history of the island.

5.00This is a great way to see parts of the island you wouldn't normally see on a day trip. The views are absolutely stunning! We saw a couple of bison, but they are fairly elusive...so don't expect the wildlife to be the star of the show. You get about 10 minutes of free time at the airport, but otherwise you are always in the vehicle on the move. Tour guide was very informative and helpful. Thanks for a great day on the beautiful Catalina Island!

4.00I’ve been to Catalina many times so I was a little disappointed that this was a ride up to the Catalina airport and back. Certainly the tour guide was great, but I recall on other tours of the island you were able to see much more. Maybe they are not allowed to go anywhere else? Who knows but a ride to the airport and back wasn’t what I expected based on the last island tours

5.00We had Shelly & Sergio. Shelly was a safe driver, the ride was not as bumpy as I read from other reviews. Sergio was our guide and had great energy throughout the trip. Overall it was a nice experience. Only got to see bison but no other wild animals this time.

4.00It was timely and totally enjoyed our guide and driver. The views from up high were really nice. We did see a buffalo. It was pretty warm and am sure the animals were shading somewhere. I enjoyed it. Given the terrain on the inside of the island, I was surprised by the number of hikers.
